We finally received a compilation of the best minigames in Mario Party history. While the game itself suffers the lack of other content, each minigame is as great as you remember and the Download Play function makes it a great option for multiplayer experiences.

A lot of included mini-games are genuinely fun, but those based on blind luck are completely useless. [03/2018, p.73]

Mario Party: The Top 100 is a game that, even though it has 100 of the best minigames of the saga, it feels very short. Very uninspired game mode and very little content make this game incapable of standing on the same level as Nintendo has been this year.
  4. 60
Mario Party: The Top 100 is a pretty bare-bones experience, one that has little to offer for those who aren't interested in local multiplayer.

Mario Party: The Top 100 is a blessing and a disappointment at the same time. If the game should be praised for bringing some of the best minigames of the Mario Party series to the 3DS and features a long lifespan with very good control systems, it also focuses a lot less on the multiplayer component and feels like it lost some of its "party game" qualities.

Even Mario Party die-hards will struggle to find much to enjoy in this rudimentary compilation. There are occasional glimmers of nostalgic genius, but they are few and far between when compared to the plainness of the side modes, brevity of the single-player campaign, and length of the list of dud mini-games on offer. It's a fun distraction for a couple of hours, but Mario Party: The Top 100 lacks the replayability of a mainline Mario Party title, making it a hard sell in the face of its more complete-feeling siblings.

Ultimately, Mario Party: The Top 100 is not an awful game. The multiplayer is fun if you can find people to play with, but even then it overstays its welcome rather quickly. The modes are shallow, the only Mario Party style board is tiny and non-interactive, and the minigame selection leaves something to be desired.

Hands down, Nintendo was smart to choose the 3DS over Switch. The minigame island is amazing! A true tribute to the first Mario Party. [I made that review with not play the game yet]

It seems to be a nice game, but... my true problem with that is Mario Party 3...

I see Many gameplays about the minigames, and lot of them are fun, but, i play lot of times mario party 3, to know that all of these 10 games, 8 of them are anything but NOT the best...

Chip Shot Challenge and Toadstool Titans (Recalled Mush Pit) Are two of the best from mario party 3, But, the others are easily forgoten, specially the beat goes on...

Why Nintendo decided wrong with This Game in particular, Why the decided than these 8 are better than Aces High, Picture Imperfect and other...

I Just want to prove it, but... Why Nintendo decided to select Amazing games from other Mario Party games, And a simple and bad games from Mario Party 3...???

I just want to put a score from 7.5, but... i preffer to approximate to 8, because still being a funny mario party game

Good games. But no Good boards. Seriously, there is only one multiplayer board. So is this game purposely for single player? Also, no onlineGood games. But no Good boards. Seriously, there is only one multiplayer board. So is this game purposely for single player? Also, no online mode? No Donkey Kong? This should've been $30. No offense Nintendo.
Anyway, I wish that the next Mario Party game has Paper Mario and have one minigame with WarioWare microgames. Those microgames are awesome.

This game was one of the most disappointing games of all time. When I first saw this I thought they would take 10 minigames from each marioThis game was one of the most disappointing games of all time. When I first saw this I thought they would take 10 minigames from each mario party (1-10) and the best ones, but this game is nothing like that. There is a crap ton from mario party 2 & 7, but barely any from 8. And, there is one board that is small, and you need to land on a space to activate a minigame. I liked 75% of the minigames they added, but usually i like 85% percent...weird, but anyways the game does have it's share of ups, but most of the game is a huge down. Expand

InMan I was really looking forward to this game but when I played I was heavily dissapointed. It just was boring the game is not fun at all. In theory the idea is great but the idea was poorly executed sure one of the best parts of Mario party is the mini games but it's the meaning of playing the mini games that make it fun. When I play a mini game in this game do I feel accomplished no I rather there be more boards then minigames. Now I hope Nintendo learns from there mistakes Expand
