    While it doesn't offer the zany game types or interesting visuals of Tetris DS, this is a better offering than Tetris Axis by far.

    For the 30th anniversary of the historical puzzle game, Ubisoft has chosen to produce a "hardcore" version of Tetris: at its core it is always the same, fantastic game, but some of the new modes and the highly competitive online play make for a version which is dedicated the most hardcore fans and "professional" players.

    The excellent multiplayer integration and classic gameplay that just never gets old will be enjoyed by those looking for another Tetris fix.

    Tetris Ultimate is a respectful entry for the classic franchise. Plenty of puzzle fun and options.

    With not-so-exciting new game modes and lack of online gamers, Tetris Ultimate isn't the best Tetris experience ever. But its rich offline multiplayer support keeps it afloat.

    It's very hard to recommend Tetris Ultimate when you can find better solutions on the eShop for a fraction of the price asked by Ubisoft last work. It's not a particularly brilliant rehash, either.

    The most experienced players will be delighted with this and its customization options and online modes are very welcome elements. Nevertheless, not all the new elements are to be praised and there’s an overall lack of innovation in a title that sticks to its job as an anniversary game and not much more.

    If you are a long standing fan of Tetris and would like it on your 3DS then you probably already have one of the other Tetris games. But this one will likely have a more vibrant online community, so it might just be worth the re-purchase, even if the single player game doesn't offer anything new.

    Most likely developed during Ubisoft Montreal's coffe breaks, Tetris Ultimate is quite a bad game. With 4 pitiful game modes and a limited appeal, the games is a cheap ripoff of Tetris DS that came out in 2006. If you want to buy a Tetris game on a portable Nintendo system go for Tetris DS or Tetris 3DS.

    Remember how in the original Tetris you could pick which music track the game was going to play? Remember how in Super Tetris 3 there were aRemember how in the original Tetris you could pick which music track the game was going to play? Remember how in Super Tetris 3 there were a few unique game types such as Magicallis and Bombliss? Both of those modes were interesting takes on a Gameboy classic. Remember how Super Tetris 3 had it's own sound test mode where you could listen to dozens of unique catchy songs? Remember how Tetrisphere had a 3d new twist on an old classic? Remember how Tetris DS had tons of Nintendo flavoring ala music and backgrounds? Tetris Ultimate has none of that. And it's visuals and sound are lifeless. I don't know you can screw up Tetris, but Ubisoft somehow managed to find a way.… Full Review »

It is dull, uninspired, new modes aren´t fun...It feels like a Cashgrab, not like a carefully crafted game...so stay away...feels more like "Microsoft-Excel Tetris"..… Full Review »

    Just bare bones Tetris with no extra modes. Also they somehow f**ked up the normal Tetris gameplay. Input lag, bad graphics, ...
