Amanda the Adventurer is a delightfully creepy homage to an era of childhood innocence tinged with nostalgia. Its unique blend of children’s cartoon aesthetics, intricate puzzles, and interactive horror makes it a memorable experience that will surely haunt you long after the credits roll. Despite its brief length, it’s a nice experience that is worth embarking on, especially for fans of psychological horror or puzzles.
The game is pretty fun and is mostly full of positives, except that the story is a huge disappointment after the demos, and there are some puzzles that don’t make any sense. It’s a unique game and can be worth buying when on sale, but not for the full £8.

Unless you are either a die-hard fan of puzzles or analog horror, and really don’t mind a lackluster and increasingly tiresome version of both, there are far better and spookier games out there than Amanda the Adventurer.

This game kinda **** ngl. It has lackluster gameplay, which horror games sometimes do but they usually make up for it with horror atmosphere and/or story. This game does neither.
Sure, at first everything looks scary, but you quickly learn that nothing can actually hurt you. There isn't any real way to loose so the scary sounds and darkness mean nothing. It is just there so it can pretend to be a horror game, but you are never in any "act or die" situation. There aren't even any jumpscares.
While the story... exists and you can vaguely understand what happened a lot is left unclear or just unanswered. Maybe it was badly written, maybe it is there so people make youtube videos "solving" the story, either way it ****.
And without horror or the story what you have is basically just a glorified simon says. You see something (usually on a tv) and then you copy it and there are no real consequences for doing it wrong.
Lastly, it is very short. Even when playing it casually you can 100% it in less than 3 hours, which is usually too short for a 9€ game.
TLDR; Very short, bad gameplay hiding behind the facade of trying to look like a horror game.

Bad, all you do in the game is watch tapes, there are no threats and there is very little reason to be scared, those are the things that made games like poppy playtime and FNAF scary, However in this game all you have to do is solve puzzles, Watch TV, Get an ending, you just type in a chatbox onwhat amanda wants, And if you dont do it she just screams you, THATS ALL! You dont even get punished for it and there is no way to lose or get jumpscared, for that you have to get an ending which is stupid, the only admirable thing in the game is the music but for the rest its trash. 3/10
