  1. Good idea, terrible execution. Pervasive flaws, frequent glitches, and frustrating design choices ruin what could have been a simple fun shooter.
  2. 35
There is one good thing about The Wild West. The character design, the actual cut scene drawings are pretty well done. The names, story, dialogue, graphics, sound and gameplay completely overshadow that by creating an experience that is nearly broken.
  3. Nintendo Power
If you stay with the game long enough to collect bonus coins, you can unlock minigames and send them to friends via a local wireless connection: a good bonus, but probably not enough incentive to endure the rigors of the main game. [Oct 2007, p.89]
  4. A mindless clickfest that may put a little wear on your touch-screen but leaves you wanting something more. The biggest problem is that the controls aren't as responsive as they should be and the gameplay isn't compelling enough to recommend this game for anything more than a rental.
  5. The graphics are from about 15 years ago, the programming is poorly coded, and the written dialogue is laugh out loud embarrassing. The budget price of $20 is not worth the frustration.
