It's as maddening and absurdly designed as it sounds, and even the simple local co-op play — which allows four reticles onscreen at once — isn't enough to make Heavy Fire appealing.
There are only 4 problem with this game not enough levels there should be more upgrades shouldn't be a 20 dollar game it should be a 10 dollar game and when I was playing the game the npc on your side sometimes they would just run up out of nowhere and you would shoot them and it would send you to the last checkpoint so that was annoying but everything else was fun and the cheesy voice acting was funny.
I haven't played the first heavy fire so i though that i could jump in and love it and i kind of of did. I thought that it would be a first person shooter and that it would be fun. I was kind of disappointed that it was an on rail shooter and that I was going to sell it but i put it in and had a blast with friends and by myself. It's not the best game out there not a chance. But it has potential and a lot of you that read my review are going to hate me for giving this game such a high rating. I think that Mastiff did a good job. The controls are a little wonky but it's still a good game in my OPINION.
This game is so terrible yet so fun at the same time. This game should only be $10 not $20. Its fun if you have 3 other friends that want to get drunk and have mindless fun shooting evil people.
Heavy Fire **** Spear
Stunning Visuals, movie level voice acting
These phrases can be used to describe tons of games released in 2013
This pile of garbage isn’t one of them.
**** Spear is a follow up to Heavy fire Afghanistan.. because that game was so great they decided to make another one.
This is a generic army on rails shooter game that makes the cabella games look like a masterpiece.
You play as a generic war hero named will, and you shoot everything that comes across your screen for an extensive 1 and a half hour campaign.
Everything about this game is really a joke, I will give them props though, this is far better than I remember heavy fire Afghanistan being, but that’s not saying much.
For starters these graphics are gamecube level, every level is the same color.. no thought or imagination went into this games design…
Almost as if this was a cheap capitalization on a current world struggle
This game had a disc based release in 2013, the same year that brought us the last of us, grand theft auto v, and brothers just incase anyone wants to throw team size in as an excuse.
And the voice acting sounds like a 3rd grader giving a speech.
To top it all off, they make the game completely awkward my making you aim with the left stick and take cover with the right..
You know the complete opposite of what games have been training us to do for the past 20 years
Six axiss controls are back, but thankfully much more responsive this time..
Some cool things do happen in the game, the world is blowing up around oyu making this feel like a war zone…
You get to shoot from a tank, a helicopter…
You even get some troops by your side…
as props…
because they do nothing…
they appear to be shooting but never kill anything… leaving it up to you to do all of the work, which leads me to wonder…
if you’ve got the perfect formula for a corny hero shooter… why not make fun of yourself…
why not make a comedy on rails shooter with a lone hero that takes on an entire army by himself, witch horrible punchlines and puns.. something that’s hallarious on purpose and not by accident.
I couldn’t stop laughing at how bad this game is.
**** Spear is too mediocre to take itself as seriously as it does.
I give heavy fire **** spear
a 3.0/10
this game **** to me if your left handed it might be good for you the aiming is on the left stick and it confuses the shooting a lot for right handers I've tried to change it but cant find any way of doing it and you cant move around like you do in better 1st shooter games duck in and out side to side that's not realism
I wasnt expecting much to begin with, just thought fun rail shooter kinda like time crisis and $20 ...i will give it a go. Doesnt look good either. Once again i wasnt expecting it to. The problem im having and its a game breaker is the controls in the case (no manual) d pad moves right stick ****.. But the only option is left stick aims right stick moves you in and out of cover, with no option at all to change it. I dont know if its just me but this control scheme goes against the grain with me so bad no way i can play it . Also you start on rookie and you really just have to shoot the area but since i cant wrap my head around the controls it doesnt matter. Patch the control options PLEASE ..
