PlunderNauts is an outstanding real time strategy game hampered by a restrictive freemium mechanic. The gameplay is so good that it’s still worth picking up, but it’s not as good as it could be.
Overall, the game is one of the best pay-to-win games that I've played, but that doesn't keep it from having a few minor issues and a sometimes confusing upgrading system. That being said, if the game gets too hard for you, you can always buy your way to the end.
This game is not a masterpiece, but it is indeed an experience that works really well for mobile gaming. Fun, addictive and recommended.
It looks great, and it has some fun, clever ideas. It’s at least worth a try.
PlunderNauts is an attractive ship combat game with plenty of depth. It's a depth you'll have to work hard to reveal, though.
What we’re left with is a game that looks pretty awesome, but doesn’t live up to its visual style. PlunderNauts may be enjoyable enough to pick up and play a few rounds of from time to time, but the way it seems to fight players who want to play and enjoy it make it a largely frustrating experience.
