Aug 26, 2021Behind the Frame: The Finest Scenery is certainly a beautiful game. From its vibrant and chill atmosphere to the gameplay, I enjoyed every moment of it, which left me surprised by its short runtime. The music across all six chapters and the engaging story that sits behind every puzzle flow naturally together providing a seamless experience. For a laidback and whimsical game, Behind the Frame can bring out the artist in all of us.

Aug 23, 2021Behind the Frame The finest Scenery is a bonsai adventure game that ends in an hour or so, whose brevity does not bother at all.

Sep 5, 2021Behind the Frame is a subtle and evocative tale that explores the lives of two artists, their relationship and what inspires them to create. The short experience is made memorable by the high-quality animations and the mood setting melodies. Puzzles may be easy, but it’s clear they are intended to be vectors to experience the story, rather than hindrances. A perfect game to unwind with your drink of choice and get lost in.

Aug 23, 2021Behind The Frame: The Perfect Scenery offers a beautiful blend of Ghibli-inspired visuals and light puzzling that uses a unique storytelling technique to deliver a touching tale of love. While the gameplay is a bit basic, this one is perfect for a rainy afternoon inside or a way to wind down after a long day at work.

Aug 28, 2021Behind the Frame is one of those games that you can imagine playing by the fire on a rainy evening. For the general public, this highly accessible interactive cartoon is proving to be as sweet as it is relaxing, carried by lovely visuals and absolutely exquisite music. A touching tale to which the short duration as well as the puzzles and writing on the surface are nevertheless lacking.
-
Aug 26, 2021An beautiful experience, but far too short. We don't have anything against short games, but the length of this one is frustrating. There was much more to tell.

CD-ActionNov 15, 2021For a game about painting, Behind the Frame surprisingly lacks creativity. [11/2021, p.69]

Dec 18, 2021The best thing about it is that the art style reminds me of Miyazaki movies. It is a pretty pleasant way to spend a saturday morning.
