BioShock is a shooter unlike any you've ever played, loaded with weapons and tactics never seen. You'll have a complete arsenal at your disposal from simple revolvers to grenade launchers and chemical throwers, but you'll also be forced to genetically modify your DNA to create an even more deadly weapon: you.
*Museum of Orphaned Concepts
Set approximately 10 years after the events of the original BioShock, the halls of Rapture once again echo with sins of the past. Along the Atlantic coastline, a monster has been snatching little girls and bringing them back to the undersea city of Rapture. Players step into the boots of the most iconic denizen of Rapture, the Big Daddy, as they travel through the decrepit and beautiful fallen city, chasing an unseen foe in search of answers and their own survival.
Bring us the girl, wipe away the debt. The year is 1912. Deep in debt, Booker DeWitt has only one opportunity for a clean slate: rescue Elizabeth, a mysterious girl imprisoned since childhood in the flying city of Columbia.

BioShock: The Collection - Announcement Trailer
Sep 23, 2016High definition textures do a solid job of re-introducing one of gaming’s enduring masterpieces to a younger generation of gamers. Whilst not providing adequate incentive to re-purchase for gamers who already own these time capsule titles, Bioshock: The Collection makes an ideal gift for introducing someone to the magical and never ending journey of PC Gaming.
CD-ActionDec 12, 2016A huge disappointment. I can recommend The Collection only to those who never played the original games, because the quality of the remasters does not justify paying for them again (even old bugs were left intact!). [12/2016, p.57]

Significant effort was put into the first 2 games while Bioshock Infinite is just a port of the PC version set to "very high" graphics option (I compared it in the past and it was running on the low graphics on last gen systems). Frame rate is 60 FPS in all with some dips. The extras are mind blowing with all DLC thrown in and new features like the developer commentary and concept arts. The packaging is also slick. Considering how much effort 2K put into this collection, it's worth the price than most "remasters" being put out at slightly lesser price.… Expand

Bioshock 1 and 2 are an Experience to be played And this collection is the best way to play it you got both game with better graphic and all DLC's. On the other Hand Bioshock Infinite is kinda bad at least by himself but since this collection contains Burial at Sea 1 and 2 this make Infinite Slightly better and solidify its place in the trilogy. So yeah its an amazing collection and every shooter/RPG hybrid should own also Credits for the PC version which is free if you own the 3 games already but suffer from a lack of option and optimization but still they give it for free so i won't complain much i written this review mainly for the console player while i own the PC version of these games.… Expand

None other game has such interesting locations than the Bioshock series.
While the Bioshock games has a fun unique playstyle of the player using different kinds of powers and buffs to overcome the foes games has to offer, the games is so good to introduce the player to these locations the games takes place on.
Also, the music fits so well with the ''steampunk-1920s-ish'' style the game tries to show off. Which, makes the games so much more stylish.
Even the story of the games is told through audio tapes you find within the cities, which is such an interesting way of telling a story.
With an interesting story, great gameplay, beautiful and interesting locations and a awesome soundtrack, the trilogy is quite interesting but also unique.… Expand

Sep 15, 2016Disclaimer: Bioshock itself is a fantastic game. The original version is actually my favorite game of all time despite the technical issues.Disclaimer: Bioshock itself is a fantastic game. The original version is actually my favorite game of all time despite the technical issues. I'm giving this "remaster" a 2/10 because it fails at being a remaster in almost every conceivable way.
All of the technical issues that plagued the original PC release are present in this iteration. All of them. Mouse input (which was easily the worst aspect of the original game) has not seen any fixes in this remaster, the constant audio dropping/stuttering hasn't been fixed, and the game constantly crashes just like the original did when played on newer hardware. Also, game-breaking bugs from roughly a decade ago have remained untouched in this release. The addition of new bugs, like the main menu randomly switching between controller and KBM controls, doesn't help the situation.
The texture work and lighting, while decent in some areas, is actually worse than the original in others. Definitely not up to par with what I've come to expect from remastered games. Worse still is that the advanced graphics settings are COMPLETELY ABSENT from this release even though they were in the original. I don't know what else to call that than a downgrade.
There is still no FOV slider, and there is still no mouse sensitivity slider. Sensitivity is still measured on a 1-10 scale, with 1 being the only "normal" sensitivity, but also being especially bugged for some reason, forcing players to use 2 sensitivity minimum.
So... what exactly was "remastered" in Bioshock Remastered? Certainly none of the things that needed to be. I would have given this effort a 0/10, but then I remembered the addition of the Golden Reels, console-exclusive DLC, and Steam achievements.
Honestly, this game is just sad. It could have been so much better, but the devs decided not to make an effort.… Expand
Sep 17, 2016Three of the most overrated garbage games of all time, all in one package! Make no mistake, all 3 Bioshock games are just mediocre consoleThree of the most overrated garbage games of all time, all in one package! Make no mistake, all 3 Bioshock games are just mediocre console FPSes with bad graphics, bad controls, stupid plots full of holes and run of the mill gameplay. I am fairly certain that those games, back when they were released, were just hyped based on paid reviews/shills and 12 year old kids who had never played an FPS before in their lives. "Spiritual successors to System Shock 2"? LOOOOOL.
All 3 of those games are 7/10 games at the year of their release. Nothing more nothing less, just functional mainstream console FPS. Getting all 3 for the price of 1, is not bad, but make no mistake, on PC there is almost no improvement for Bioshocks 1 and 2, and Bioshock Infinite is exactly the same. So if you like your meh FPSes and like cheap deals, i suppose you could buy this if you have never tried them before. The rest of you, play any other FPS on the market, it is probably better.… Expand
