Fishing game, open world adventure, gorgeous nature simulator – whatever bar you want to set for Call of the Wild: The Angler, it succeeds at meeting your criteria. Quiet but never boring, graphically beautiful, and with rich and entertaining fishing mechanics, The Angler is one of those rare games that creates a class all its own. You have never played a game like this, and it is likely rare that you have played one this good at accomplishing what it sets out to do. Highly recommended, even for those that might not think they would like fishing games.
Call of the Wild: The Angler is a realistic fishing simulation title. With an expansive and stunning world to explore, you can lose yourself for hours. Fish, help others, or simply relax, the choice is yours.

The Angler has a lot of soul. Every time I log in and see the (approximate) time and weather, I know exactly what spot I want to go to and what fish I’m looking for. I get excited when the conditions are just right to target that pike, and I know just the spot. The pull is there to keep me coming back. Even though it’s rough around the edges and somewhat feature-bare, you’re going to find your own spot that you don’t tell anyone about. Your own little slice of Golden Ridge heaven where you hope to one day land your Diamond.
Call of the Wild: The Angler is a fishing game that allows you to explore its wide map beyond just the fishing spots, which makes it fun to discover new fishing locations. That being said, for players not looking for exploration this can also result in a tedious experience. Also, the fishing float mechanics are terrible for a fishing game.
Full-fledged hunting and simulation games are not to my liking - in non-hunting games, hunting and fishing are enough. Call of the Wild: The Angler takes time and work. And as mentioned earlier, the game is not for everyone. It’s tailor-made for people who miss fishing and would like to go to the valley of tranquility and go fishing in their free time from the working day.
Call of the Wild: The Angler offers vast, varied environments, as well
as lots of equipment to chose from, but obviously is simplified in
comparison to real fishing and devoid of its many subtleties. There are
moments when the game is fun even despite some considerable flaws and
the ridiculously limited multiplayer component, but as a whole it
presents a quality level more befitting Early Access than a finished
game.
Call of the Wild: The Angler feels like an unfinished game. It should have been released as an early access title.
I managed to claim the game that was free on the Epic ****'s fun, but for the price it has bugs that shouldn't **** game keeps **** happens every day at some point, I don't understand why, I'm driving or fishing and then the game crashes.Another bug happened when I jumped on another player's boat, and he went ahead with the boat and I fell out of the water, I spawned on the wooden walkway and put my boat in the water, I went to the middle of the lake, and started fishing, after a few seconds I get back into the player's boat as if there was a delay in the server itself, very strange...I've already had a bug, where the time is decreasing instead of increasing, for example, 16:44, 16:43 16:42, that's not how the time works kkk, the time also changes very quickly, either it's sunny or after a few minutes it's night.

The Park Ranger is so extreme preservationist , it is borderline impossible to listen to him talk for more than 2 mins. He also does nothing but talk. THERE IS NO MULTIPLAYER (and yes I apologize I put that in all caps because the easy and seamlessly multiplayer is a load of horse dung.) My friends and I have tried for 10 hrs. or so to do multiplayer and all we get is errors. The game focus is more exploration than it is fishing, this is also a fishing game. So why did fishing come last in the order of importance. Their is absolutely no labeling of lakes or ponds names. So you have no clue where you are fishing at. Their are fishing challenges to do at certain places, but with no info you spend 4 hrs driving around instead of fast traveling and spending 4 hrs fishing. Coming off The Hunter the graphics are very very sub par. No third person view when driving vehicles so almost impossible to not drive into things.

Was excited to get a fishing simulator, so far all I got was a horrible driving simulator. 7 missions in and I’ve spent a 5:1 ratio of walking/driving to actual fishing. 4 hrs played and still walking on dry land exploring, no fishing just walking around aimlessly, no wildlife, no hunting and no mini map. Trails turn red so you have to walk only making it slower so you enjoy the boredom more.
Why they decided no hot wheel for choosing tackle or rods is beyond me. game is designed to maximize boredom and time wasting menu selection.

This game has no support what so ever.I can't use the apex account to goe online, because it's already linked to another account.I have made a support ticket and got a conformation email with a clickable link in it and got the message This page doesn't excist. Beacause they can't even make a normal supportticket page i have to give them a solit zero.
