Play against an advanced, self-learning AI that tracks and adapts to your every move. Raven Brooks is an ordinary suburb, yet oddly filled with too many ravens. Mysterious events are happening in the city, often resembling a Tim Burton-style nightmare. You play as a private investigator tracking down Mr. Peterson. You break into his abandoned house searching for clues, only to find a bizarre, bird-like looking creature inhabiting it. From there, you explore Raven Brooks in an open world, survival horror-style fashion while staying true to the roots of the original stealth horror theme. Expand

Hello Neighbor 2 is an improvement over the earlier game but still has a few issues to work out. That being said I did find it to be an enjoyable and challenging experience.

A solid game that is suitable for players who are starting with adventures or puzzle games. It features easy puzzles and several smaller adventures in individual houses that ultimately make up a complete game. However, in everything you feel that it could have been done better and without bugs.

Overall, Hello Neighbour 2 has too many problems to hit it’s full potential. The game looks great, and has some strong ideas, but ends up being neither ‘stealth’ or ‘horror’ as it bills itself. There’s enjoyment to be had, especially from the family-friendly angle and for those who like solving puzzles. However fans of the original and casual gamers will find it too short and unengaging to remember it much. Ultimately it feels like the game is stretched too thin. The lack of story and sparse open world leave it feeling directionless.

Hello Neighbor 2 feels more like an updated version of the first game. It’s considerably larger than the first game, and the expansion of the AI technology to additional characters is a welcomed decision. Outside of that, there is very little separating the two games. Hello Neighbor 2 still has a clunky UI, unsatisfying controls, and problems being consistent with its own rules. Where there was a real opportunity to take the franchise to the next level, this sequel just feels like more of the same.

An inventive folow up to the original Hello Neighbour. This creepy puzzler has tons of potential and makes vast improvements upon our first trip to Raven Brooks, Jsut maybe hold of on your trip until some of the creaky floorboards have been fixed.

The fun puzzle solving cannot save the bug-filled mess that is Hello Neighbor 2. Unless you are a huge fan of the Hello Neighbor franchise and have devoured it in all its forms, you can skip this entry. Unfortunately, this is a neighborhood that even Mr. Rogers wouldn't want to be part of.
  7. The overarching problem, I think, is that the game rarely sets up its horror. The best horror films and games ramp up the tension — and release it with a scare. But a neighbor coming up to you and catching you while you attempt to solve a puzzle mostly just feels random. There’s no setup — just surprise from something you couldn’t possibly foresee. More often than not, as I hid in closets from my pursuers, I felt frustrated rather than scared. I either wanted to continue what I was doing before, or for the pursuers to find me just to get it over with.

This game is definitely a joy to look at, Very pleasant but simple art design. Exploration is actually really big plus in hello neighbor 2.This game is definitely a joy to look at, Very pleasant but simple art design. Exploration is actually really big plus in hello neighbor 2. There are few good locations such as tree house or mayor's house. At the very beginning it's actually fun to play it but the more I played it the more frustrated I've become. Puzzles are hugely unintuitive and without a guide I am certain that I will never found a proper solution... IA of the neighbors are just bad and frustrating. Game is very short and there are also a big amount of bugs. This franchise have actually nice potential to be fun but definitely puzzles must be more intuitive and less demanding at least for finishing main story. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I am a big fan of hello neighbor game. I've played all alphas and betas. When I found out about the output hello neighbor 2 I immediately went to come to her.
And ... This is some kind of cringe.
Let's break it down by all criteria. Plot:
Hello Neighbor 1 is game over in itself. But despite this, the developers had many options for the new game. Reveal what happened to Aaron, tell more about the neighbor. In the end, it was possible to come up with something with Raven. But no, we didn't get it. The same game, only the main character is not Nick, but a journalist.
The plot didn't reveal anything new.
    Gameplay
In the first hello neighbor there were challenging and creative puzzles. To solve them it was necessary to think carefully. In hello neighbor 2 riddles made quite childish. Even a child can solve them.
    open world
In the alpha version, all houses were open. There was variety. This has been removed in the release version.
    AI
This is **** I don't think it's worth talking about it in detail. It is a fact. We were all deceived when we talked about AI that would sync with the internet and predict the actions of the players.

Conclusion This game is not worthy to be called Hello Neighbor 2. This is Hello Neighbor 1 : Journalist DLC
