Moero Chronicle is a game that knows exactly what it wants to be, and it shows remarkable commitment in wholeheartedly sticking to the Compile Heart brand without sacrificing the quality of its delivery.

If you’re looking for a game that is not to be taken seriously, full of half-naked monster girls, has a basic battle system, and a touching mini-game then look no further because Moero Chronicle is exactly what you have been looking for.

Moero Chronicle has moments of being a decent dungeon crawler for those new to the genre. The basic mechanics are done well, and the idea of collecting monster girls as party members makes gameplay more interesting. However, the act of taming the girls is difficult enough that your interest will fade even if the humor is appealing. Until some of the issues get fixed, it's difficult to recommend this title.

So if you are the kind of anime fan who doesn’t mind the inclusion of A LOT of fanservice, Moero Chronicle may just be the game for you. For everyone else, it’s a serviceable title that feels pretty basic in design with some funny moments, but tries a little too hard to pull in a particular audience. Just be aware it may take you awhile to get over having Io in your party.

People who like weird Japanese games and good anime tiddies are likely to enjoy Moero, my problem with the game would be that the encounter rate is too high, though escaping is quick so it's not a big deal. I love Compile Heart as much as the next fan, but Moero Chronicle is an unmitigated disaster that plays like a AAA priced indie game. TheI love Compile Heart as much as the next fan, but Moero Chronicle is an unmitigated disaster that plays like a AAA priced indie game. The game doesn't pull any punches with its unadulterated fan service, the problem isn't really with 'that' side of the game, it's the game itself that is the problem.

This game would be better suited to be renamed to 'Pantie Chronicles'

The core gameplay is basically boring, its main adventuring is based on old school 3D dungeon crawling, which is incredibly frustrating by being in battle every other step you take, this mechanic is so prevalent that there is even a tutorial to fast forward skip these all-to-common trash mob battles.

Another issue revolves around the trial and error 'rubbing mode' in which reeks of pure fan service, you essentially have to feel up one of the monster girls to get her 'off' so she breaks her curse and joins your party, the problem is this mini-game doesn't work too well, and without a guide is becomes quite frustrating repeating the same battle and minigame until you find the correct points to touch.
