At the end of the day, I'm in a bit of an awkward position with Myth of Empires. It's by no means a bad game. All of its parts function as they mean to, and it can be quite absorbing. However, it lacks the staying power of other MMOs. This can be fixed with a smaller map, to increase player interaction and speed up building by giving you more access to materials. Some sort of story might help as well, considering how quite a few MMO fans play for the story, and the added context would give more meaning to the experience. However, even without any of that, Myth of Empires is a solid game that I can reccomend to anyone looking for a survival-crafting fix. Happy building!
Who would have thought that an Early Access game these days would come onto the market in a more complete state than some of the triple-A blockbusters. Bugs and glitches are negligible and are fixed remarkably prompt. Myth of Empires is an exciting project, which, especially at its full release, could shake up the genre. [Early Access]

Considering that it is an early access game, it is highly developed in the gameplay detail. For those who like open world, constructions & Crafting, RPG, PVE or PVP...(who like UltimaOnline, lif is feudal, Conan, Ark, Icarus, The Forest, New World, etc, will like it a lot)

1) Corpse runs
2) belonging to a guild(group) ESSENTIAL, except for the 1% who like grinding solo forever.(You better like active guild participation as it is required to build/maintain your base)
3) % players do not speak English even on North American servers. Servers are not region locked.
4) Item durability poor(requires regular repair or replacement)
5) your character never logs off.(secure sleeping area essential or death and loss of all you carry possible from hostile creatures)
6) deep game mechanics which are not explained(Youtube video watching essential, or patient guild who will answer LOTS of your questions)
7)Game down for maintenance A LOT
8) game can easily become a grind feast if you don't step away regularly
9) you can play on pvp or pve server
10) this is a hard core survival game and the game reminds you of that regularly
11) HUGE world
12) ongoing litany of players selling copper ore for U.S. currency
13) You and your horse must eat regularly
14) Very deep crafting
15) Devs seem to be very active with regular game bug fixes and new content
16) Haven't seen a dungeon yet and have not heard they exist
17) You MUST do game prescribed "daily missions" better described as tasks, in order to access the games trading feature(buy/sell items/get rewards for doing "missions". IF YOU DON'T DO **** CANNOT ACCESS THE TRADING FEATURE TO BUY AND SELL ITEMS and EARN CURRENCY))
18) You MUST pay(with game currency) a trainer as you advance because you hit a skill cap. Paying ever increasing amounts of game currency is required to unlock the skill cap ,if you want to advance a key skill), Currency comes primarily from doing "daily's". IF you don't do **** cannot secure currency to pay for undoing skill cap.
FOR ME...i like to play on an mmog where i can play solo in the main, yet group when i want....sell items I craft to other players, explore, dungeon dive. THIS GAME forces guild membership and active ongoing group play(forever base building) which is not how I like to play. I do not like being FORCED to complete "daily missions" just to be able to buy and sell items. I'm currently in a place where it is very difficult to complete daily missions(lack of required resources)

Long time pc game player...DARK AGE OF CAMELOT is my all time favorite game. I love to craft and this game has enormous crafting possibilities and required crafting. Surprising number of guilds communicate primarily on DISCORD. This became a problem for me, resulting in my changing to another guild that did not use it as their primary way of communicating).There are too many restrictions....things I MUST do.. ..or **** my taste.
This game quickly burned me out. I'd like to find a game where i can just lighten up and have fun. THIS is the opposite of that for me.
