    For the players who have invested heavily both time and money on a previous iteration, NBA2K21 has nothing new to offer. The new MyCareer story and the necessary roster updates would not justify a purchase at its full price. Our grade refers to the technical aspects of the game, but we are highly critical on how the series have devolved into a microtransactions Pay2Progress model.

    All in all, NBA 2K21 still holds the bar, but there is very little incentive to switch to this version if you had your fill of 2K20, unless you’re a dedicated fan of MyTeam.

    An overall extremely well-made and enjoyable basketball game with a variety of modes and teams. That does not stop NBA 2K21 from sabotaging itself through a vast number of microtransactions that become necessary to progress in the My Team and My Career modes.

    A recycled mess that features the same bugs, financial exploits, and cheats that PC players have had to suffer through for years. MyTeam has seen some great innovations but they are completely overshadowed by NBA 2K21's shortcomings.

    In 2K21, just like we’ve seen for the last few years, every moment of fun on the court is undermined by the racket being run off it.

    I got this game for free at Epic months ago and I decided to try it today. I really liked NBA 2K20 on PS4 and I was just expecting somethingI got this game for free at Epic months ago and I decided to try it today. I really liked NBA 2K20 on PS4 and I was just expecting something as good on PC.

    But I couldn't. The game simply didn't run on my PC. I can play a lot of game on ultra, some of them on high. I don't remember last time I had to set some game on medium but this one didn't run at low config. Bizarre! I don't know, it was at 10fps using the lowest config as possible. Probably the worst otimized game I'v ever seen.

    I don't own a 4k/60 PC but definitely the problem wasn't my hardware:

    HD 2 TB SSD
    GeForce GTX 1050 Ti
    Windows 10

    One of the worst games released in the last 20 years, dont get me wrong, this is obviously a game made by a studio, but the fact that thereOne of the worst games released in the last 20 years, dont get me wrong, this is obviously a game made by a studio, but the fact that there are glitches, that there are unskippable ads on a 60$ game, the fact that this is so much of a copy paste of the last three NBA games, this is terrible, disgusting trash made by EA to get money from 6 year olds who want to spend hundreds if not thousands of dollars of their parents money on a game which will become obsolete by next year being replaced yet again by the same game with a different cover. This is what EA does with all of these sports games, they copy the game, paste it into another folder, delete all save files from last iteration, add worthless ingame money and finally go into photoshop and edit the image of an athelete into the cover. Boom, now I have a new NBA/Fifa/ETC which I can milk my slaves with for their money… Expand

    Recycled previous game and silently added unskippable ads. This is barely DLC at the price of a full game with ads in it. Let that sink in.

    Every new feature is awful. You may have 90 3pt and shoot 20 almost green shot, if you are like 1 goes in. Just play 2k20 if you really need to
