Nova Lands doesn’t really give you anything new in the management genre, but it is charming, colourful and addictive. I wasn’t bored at all. Really that’s all I want in a game like this, and I think it’s a great introduction to the genre for anyone who might be interested.
Nova Land takes you to a remote galaxy to create the best settlement in space using your wit and tons of robots. A perfect inde game to get addicted to right away.
Oh, my goodness, let me tell you how blown away I am by this game! Seriously, you need to drop everything and get your hands on it right now. Trust me, I could go on and on for a whopping 50+ hours about how amazing it is, but I don't want to spoil any surprises for you.
Just take my word for it — this game is an absolute must-play. I guarantee you won't regret it. And let me tell you, I'm certainly not regretting a single moment of it. At one point, I was a bit down because I thought it was reaching its conclusion, but lo and behold, something incredible happened that completely changed the game for me.
I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the developers for creating such a masterpiece.
After checking the game on my XSX I truly think that this is the best version of Nova Lands here, so you can really enjoy your time in this pretty nice adventure automation game. Recommend it if not. For those who don't believe – I hope the game will be added to GamePass so it will be nice opportunity to check the Nova Lands. Peace and 10/10 from me
Nova Lands is an adorable base builder with a hint of RPG action. Can you open every island and automate your base? Explore every piece of land and rub shoulders with some friendly aliens. I adored it, but clumsy controls and limited replay value hold it back.
Nova Lands has won our hearts. The heaviness at the start of the game quickly fades away, giving way to a desire to go as far as possible. Progression is fairly well balanced and the title is never frustrating, even going so far as to make you think about how to improve your productions once you have turned off the console. The experience has been quite enjoyable. Provided you enjoy the genre, Nova Lands is well worth a minute of your time.
With its resource management proposal, material collection and construction evolution. Nova Lands delivers all of this in a way that's satisfying, simple, and fun. The use of robots to do the boring part makes the game less tiring and boring. After hours and hours of work, you see that everything was built thanks to your robots. They are the basis of everything and will help you with most tasks in the game. Protect them, evolve them, and always be willing to fight with them and for them.
The gameplay of this farming-style game is highly addictive. The automation mechanics are straightforward and simple to grasp. It would have been more enjoyable if there were larger areas or additional islands, even if they maintained the same themes. In summary, this game provides a relaxed experience where you gather, construct, and enhance various elements. The gameplay loop is incredibly gratifying.
Pros:
- Clear progression system.
- Each resource has at least 1 use.
- Easy 20+ hours of content.
- Fairly relaxed game, rewards idleness via the player house which is a nice feature.
Cons:
- Sometimes crashes when autosaving, will still save but a minor inconvenience nonetheless.
- Had a bug stopping my produced lubricant / super lubricant / biofuel from being transported from the island it was created on unless I was not near the island.
- Controls can be slightly clunky. E.G. having to drag an item to the bin everytime you want to delete something, autotargeting not prioritising enemies / progressed tame, no copy paste for storages.
