On the pitch, no one gets the better of PES 2019, apart from that there is still a lot to do and we are still waiting for online modes.

You shouldn’t buy PES 2019 for its new modes - there aren’t any of note. Nor should you buy it for major changes to existing modes - the ones made are minor. If you do opt in this year, it should be for the focus on player individuality that sets this iteration apart from all previous years.

Smooth gameplay, a variety of animations, and interesting game modes take the sting off of the lack of licensed teams. FIFA may wear the crown, but PES is a worthy rival.

It's difficult to sing the praises of the core gameplay as much as last year. That's especially the case as the AI isn't as sensible as it was previously, with too many reckless challenges and questionable keeper decisions. PES 2019 underperforms, despite its quality.

A mostly fun, realistic football sim with wonky AI.

Once I got the option file installed, it is so good (every stadium including all the championship ones). So happy to have chosen PES over Fifa this year. Been a very long time since I owned a PES.

Master league is amazing! Puts career mode to shame.

The online side to this game is pretty good too, had a couple of moments where the game struggled to match me with an opponent but other than that, really enjoying it.

Put all that aside, and I think we have the best soccer simulation game ever in PES 2019! B'cos what really matters is what happens on the pitch, and Konami has just declared they're the best at emulating a real soccer match.
Players move so realistically it's amazeballs, and the ball physics is just a gem! The graphics alone makes my eyes sparkle with joy!
The game still needs more work, and hopefully we'll be getting 'em in the next iteration.

I do believe Konami release a bad version every 2nd year and this seems to be the case here also. Gameplay is slow, delay in responsiveness (time from the press of a button to the player actually doing it) is unacceptable especially if you play a match in 2018 and then in 2019 its huge difference. Experienced PES players will probably also notice that lack of feel for the shots. In most past version that was what I loved about PES, you kind of felt every shot, especially those power shots, in 2019 its kind of meh. If anyone says "I buy this first time instead of FIFA", you probably do it because this feels as bad as FIFA. Expand

I just do not know how they menage to push a solid demo out and then the game is broken soulless and unplayable.

    1. AI is horrid on both sides
    2. Animations look like they are on mobile phone so does the game play
3 Still they did not put in real defending or at least pushing for the ball some players will just blow others out like they don't exist when running for 50-50 ball although the other guy has 30 more speed he touches you and it feels like your player hit the snow.
    4. Graphics are horrid I don't understand how in 2018 this still looks worse than games with 300+ characters in the scene buildings trees watter etc. Looks like 2014 game or something.
    5. Lack of any kind of dynamic game play all teams players are just stats none feels like they should.
    6. Commentary deserves -20 same as players they are mentally disabled .
    7. Passing, player movement, responsiveness, shooting feels like B team of mentally disabled para-Olympic matchstick throwers

Hope someone starts making Football games aside from KONAMI AND EA ! Both games are utter **** Fifa is a bit better at least you can push and pull for ball and your player is somewhat responsive.

    Practically no fouls.

Don't buy this game and don't buy FIFA because football simulators are dead in this year.
