Even lacking that [online] option, WE 8 stands as the best soccer game of all time. It looks fantastic and plays out of this world.
We’re talking about a game with great controls, absolutely gorgeous graphics and enough teams to make any gamer cheer.
Graphically this game is brilliant. While I can't say that the graphics were jaw dropping for their quality, the motion capture is by far some of the best I've ever seen, not just for the cutscene intro but also in the game play as well.
The lack of online play for either the Xbox or PS2 North American versions is downright deplorable.
May not be a huge innovation from the last chapter, but it does fix a good amount of physics and character control issues.
The deep Master League mode will suck in a hardcore soccer fan for eons. [March 2005, p.76]
The computer AI, just like your girlfriend, will sniff out your weaknesses and exploit the living crap out of them.
