  • Summary: Based on the Small World fantasy board game. Take control of fantasy race & special power combos, such as Berserk Halflings, Triton Merchants, Alchemist Ratmen and Dragon-master Amazons, to grab all the land you can in a world that is just too small to share with your opponents.

    I got this as part of a bundle, and though I had heard of the boardgame I had never played it. It plays quickly, and the attribute and race combinations make each game seem fresh and interesting. The graphics are simply, but colorful, pleasant and clear. The sound is disappointing - here the simplicity gets a little annoying. Having separate sound effects for each race would be a big plus.

    Online and hotseat play are available, and easy as pie to use.

    I'm tempted to give this a 10, but the repetitive sound effects knock it down to a 9. Still, this is definitely one of the best games out there for the money.    … Expand

    Awesome little game. Its not too deep, which makes it great for short turns without too much thinking.

    But the ace in the hand is the asynchronous play. The central servers run the game, so players are free to submit turns at their own pace, and can even initiate games with friends without everyone having to be online at the same time.    … Expand
