Begin a new chapter for your Sim when they enroll in the historical University of Britechester or modern Foxbury Institute. Live in a dorm room or off-campus, explore Britechester on a bicycle, spend time in the student commons, and have a study session at the library. Cheer on the student body at a school spirit event and wear school colors to show your Sim's pride.

Sims enroll in the University that piques their interest, finding classes in biology, computer science, art history, and even villainy. Attend a lecture or work on term papers and presentations -- the more your Sim learns, the better they will be in careers like teaching, law, and engineering. Going to classes or blowing them off will affect your Sim's grades, so time management is a must.

How your Sim embraces college life is up to them. They can study all night to complete homework or chill out and sleep in. And, with activities like juice pong, juggling a soccer ball, and hanging out with roommates, taking a break has never been so fun! Plus, your Sim can join school organizations like robotics, debate, art, or even a mysterious secret society. As the school year progresses, Sims become their best selves and discover who they are meant to be.

Make your Sim's space cozy with dorm room dƩcor that reflects their personality with objects like posters and a mini-fridge. Then, develop their personal style in any way you choose -- whether wearing late-for-class sweatpants or their best-self slacks, there's always a way to show school spirit or impress a classmate.

If you enjoy The Sims 4, this is definitely a must-have expansion pack. If you’re familiar with the franchise, you’ll recognize a lot of similar things from Sims 3 University Life. It’s a stressful and hectic expansion, but reflects a realistic college experience. Now, if only one jog could shed 50 pounds in real life….

The Sims 4 Discover University involves you to play and play again with your Sims, without ever getting bored. The many elements introduced, from PHD to careers, passing through most goliardic events, are able to create a self-contained chapter in the life of our Sims, clearly satisfying the most fierce fans of the franchise. Cosmetic elements are not so many, but careers and PHD offer a proper entertainment, creating a great play experience, similar to the old expansions.

At this point in the lifespan of The Sims 4, there are so many expansions and add-ons that the amount of content is a bit overwhelming, and allows the player to craft a world that is grounded in reality, full of magic and fantasy or somewhere in between. The Sims 4: Discover University is definitely weighted towards the real-world experiences and lessons of college life and in addition to being highly entertaining, might just possibly have some educational value of its own.

Discover University is a generous package with plenty to do and experience, but the biggest appeal lies in the way higher education is integrated with the rest of the game to provide further storytelling opportunities for your Sims. This expansion is another success in what has been a very strong year for the franchise, and is particularly worth considering for players who like to come to The Sims for realism narratives.

So much information, and so many possibilities that it can be almost scary. On the other hand, players are given the opportunity to design a whole new period of life for their Sims. While not always easy to navigate, Discover University definitely adds a lot to gameplay.

You can create some interesting storylines within this pack and is well worth purchasing. Cons: There can be many lags including sims refusing to go to class and the amount of work to complete is excessive. Glitches can be common but regardless an enjoyable pack. Expand

The homework for university students doesn't work, sometimes; the little progress bar doesn't move. It's also very difficult to have a sim take more than a couple of classes at a time, including extracurriculars. My sims are always late to class, because the "Go To Class" button does not appear, until the time that that class is supposed to start, plus travel time (either walking or biking). Overall, it is a fun pack. Your young adult+ sims can apply for scholarships based on their skills and talents, and they can move into a dorm, a house, or live at home. There are many fun clubs and things to do, like debate or joining the soccer team. All in all, I'd recommend the pack, but I might wait to buy, it, until they update the homework glitch. Expand

There is no kitchenette in the dorm rooms, but the cafeteria doesn't open properly during operating hours. In fact, it is almost always closed. It also requires a loading screen to go to the cafeteria, so if you have more than one Sim, and they don't go to the cafeteria at the same time for every meal, you will lose control of the other Sim. Shall I continue? The game added one random roommate to my active household for no reason. The debate competition bugged out completely. Sims constantly put their homework down in the middle of nowhere and then leave. They also lose their bikes daily. University classes start whenever you arrive on campus, including noon on a Tuesday. You will be late to class and get docked for not doing your homework. The semester is only 5 days, and there is so much homework, you won't do much else. You cannot edit any of the buildings, and if you use cheats, it will completely bug out. Out of desperation, I added a fridge and stove to my Sim's dorm. Their dorm was removed from the list of available dorms and they were forced to move out at the end of the semester. All the other students started paying them rent, but would periodically move out because their "needs weren't being met", whatever that means. I didn't delete anything from the dorm. Fast speed and ultra speed stopped working completely. Every building is either a rabbit hole or has a loading screen, and yet campus feels empty and boring. There are so few buildings. The biggest dorm is still tiny. As other people have said, you can't send your Sim to class until after it has started. There are multiple academic buildings, so you don't know where their classes are. I hate this expansion. I hate it. Expand

Since the base game is already mediocre at best, the DLC has finally reached the lowest score I could possibly give it. It is an insult to the franchise and only is a traditional SIms DLC in terms of a lying trailer, rehashed content that doesn't tie into the rest of the game (and certainly not other DLC) and some items that you were actually missing.

As usual at this point you only get half of the content for twice the price. While you had lectures, sororities and a huge new world to explore in the Sims 3, you get a barebone dormitory, a miniature world full of rabbitholes, useless extensions to the club system, and roughly 100 additional items (40 % of them recolors or very specific and therefore useless for everyday building). Throw in 3 hairstyles and 3 outfits so that everyone appears to visit the clown college, and then dive into the gameplay loop.

Which is doing homework and nothing else. The whole college "experience" is visiting rabbitholes and doing homework. And you'll have to do it for at least 21 long days, and you'll do nothing else. Of course you can live with "housemates" now who behave pretty much like visitors who occasionally sleep, don't give a frack about what time of the day it is and can savely be ignored because they don't even spot new traits.

Yes, it's yet another DLC without any additions to the AI, but of course you get the usual army of bugs and glitches that will never be fixed.

If you love gaming in the style of German work simulations, go with the street cleaning simulator instead. That one would gain at least one point from me. This one doesn't.
