Feb 23, 2016If this episode is any indication of what’s to come, this short form adventure could prove to be some of the best work that Telltale Games has put out since the amazing first season of The Walking Dead. With improvements coming through graphically, and the story telling showing strong against the quickened pace of a half season, this small package has a lot going for it. Here’s hoping that it continues.

Feb 23, 2016I’m certainly engaged enough with this first chapter to see things through to the end, and I imagine you will be too. Just go in with some expectations in check, this isn’t the Telltale game that’s going to reinvent the wheel for their particular style of gameplay. But it does serve as a solid introduction to a well-known, and well-liked character from The Walking Dead, and hopefully spirals into some interesting revelations the further we proceed.

Feb 23, 2016The premiere episode of The Walking Dead: Michonne has all the qualities of a stellar TellTale Games series: the combat is enjoyable, the narrative is engaging, the choice system presents difficult options, and the episode is entertaining from start to finish.
-
Feb 23, 2016The Walking Dead: Michonne - In Too Deep is a strong opening chapter, but the overall experience doesn't stray too much from past seasons. Future episodes will prove whether Michonne has an explosive payoff or is simply an average mini-series for passing the time.

Feb 23, 2016This first chapter doesn't offer anything new or really interesting in terms of narrative or gameplay. It's basically Telltale on autopilot. Not bad, but not that good either.
-
Mar 7, 2016Bloodier, more linear, but actually exactly the same game as the last time. If you still haven´t got enough of harsh human stories from zombie apocalypses, you will enjoy The Walking Dead: Michonne, because it offers a proven Telltale quality. Otherwise there is no reason buying this one-hour game.
-
Feb 22, 2016It's ironic that Telltale's biggest success with TWD: Michonne is in how it perfectly projects Michonne's detached mindset onto the player, albeit unintentionally. Just as Michonne is hardened and unsympathetic, you'll meet lots of new characters and learn of their troubles and motivations, but you probably won't care.
