    This is the type of game that no one expects, comes out of nowhere, and ends up shining.
    Graphics are nice, music is good, the puzzles are ok, never unfair.

    I think its one of the better games out there right now.

    Wow! great game, maybe the best graphics i've ever seen, a wonderful show for your eyes. Highly recommended. I reminded me to Limbo or Inside but not dark, rather the full contrary.

    Amazing family-friendly adventure. Played this with my non-game player wife and out kids and loved every second of it. Beautiful and thoughtful. It will make you cry and smile.

    Unravel is one of the few or honestly speaking only adorable puzzle platform-er that I have played in my entire life . The levels of video games are mostly designed from critical thinking but over here in Unravel it is designed from heart and emotion .     It's a beautiful game with terrible controls. I've enjoyed it but only because the ambience. If you're into small object manipulation (kinda like Little Big Planet, but much clunkier) it's the game for you. If you hope for a plot or a story, well, you might be disappointed too. You get some clichés at the end of each level. It is pretty and shiny and easy so you might consider buying itIt's a beautiful game with terrible controls. I've enjoyed it but only because the ambience. If you're into small object manipulation (kinda like Little Big Planet, but much clunkier) it's the game for you. If you hope for a plot or a story, well, you might be disappointed too. You get some clichés at the end of each level. It is pretty and shiny and easy so you might consider buying it for your child (3-7) if you don't mind grinding through some annoying jumps (some youtubers just make a cut in their videos).     This is probably the best video game I have yet played. The graphics are absolutely phenomenal. The music is atmospheric, soothing, and thematic. The controls are crisp and precise. Aside from the fact that it's an Origin exclusive, I really can't find any fault with the game. Having said that, it's still not my favorite game.     Incredible game!No open world, no online multiplayer, no lootboxes ! just a singleplayer game focused on the story.This game is unique and I don´t think that there will be more games like this.The music is fantastic and relaxing.     Graficamente è molto carino e ben fatto, le atmosfere sono molto belle a volte felici a volte malinconiche o pericolose (il tutto incentrato sulla lore) forse il comparto sonoro è un po' ridondante. Il gameplay è davvero bello con delle trovate molto interessanti sia di interazione con gli oggetti a schermo, ambiente, ma soprattutto l'utilizzo del filo è davvero divertente.     Clearly a lot of love and dedication was put into this game. The attention to detail is amazing. The graphics are gorgeous. Everything looks so... real, it feels as if you can touch it. The gameplay mechanics make puzzle solving a very satisfying experience. Every move you make with the little yarn guy, every object you move, everything feels so natural and realistic.

    The main    Clearly a lot of love and dedication was put into this game. The attention to detail is amazing. The graphics are gorgeous. Everything looks so... real, it feels as if you can touch it. The gameplay mechanics make puzzle solving a very satisfying experience. Every move you make with the little yarn guy, every object you move, everything feels so natural and realistic.

    The main protagonist is literally an adorable little doll made out of yarn and yet he/it still manages to convey human emotions throughout the whole game.

    The music is lovely but not properly implemented and it feels as if though it plays separately from the game on a constant loop and basically ignoring the atmosphere and the pace of the game. I found the whole experience much more enjoyable after I turned off the music completely and could really listen to every bit of ambient sound (leaves rustling, wind, rain drops) which really helped immersion.

    Puzzles are simple and kinda repetitive, but the game is so gorgeous that every puzzle is a joy to do. Plus, the new and innovative approach to solving puzzles by "unraveling" yarn from yourself and tying knots doesn't get old quickly.    … Expand

    A family-friendly platform game with more focus on riddles and story than skills. As we are going through levels, we are uncovering the story of a family and a land that accompanied by music and nice visuals is really heart-warming.

    Very cool game, with great graphics.

    Too easy though, I wish it was more challenging, would have been much more interesting. I guess they concentrated more on the story and the game looking great rather the puzzles aspect. I can't even call what they have in the game puzzles, more like small obstacles, way too easy. Otherwise, great game.

    A fun and beautiful game. And it has one of the best endings ever. It makes you nostalgic after completing it. Even though I played many games, Unravel is in my top 10. Perhaps top 5

    Horrible controls ruin the experience. Recognizes my gamepad only to a certain extent. Once I try to customize button layout I'm unable to assign a different button and cannot cancel the process and go back to the main menu. So I'm forced to use keyboard. Also, too many needless controls. Platform games like this that place accent on atmosphere and graphics should really learn from theHorrible controls ruin the experience.     Music is incredibly repetitive to the point where I would mute the game after a while... this is not a good thing, as I am one of those people who appreciates game music to the point of comparing it with film music (yes, even indie game music - Journey and Ori are great examples).     The story, if there even is one, is garbage. Heck, even The Unfinished Swan had a better story than this, and that was a total bummer at the end.

    Buy this game, on sale if possible, if only to see the possibilities of what can be done with beautiful graphics and hard(ish) work, from yet another indie developer (Coldwood Interactive). But also for proof of why AAA games are starting to lack creativity with their rehashed, overly-hyped-does-not-deliver formulas, adopting microtransaction schemes on top of base prices, while games like this one and others can wow you for hours (if you enjoy them) for anywhere between $15-$40.

    In short... this game is wonderful visually - looks better than many games out there (even now in 2017) - but everything else needed a lot more work. Feels like an idea that was never actually... uhh... knitted properly, and the seams are too visible.    … Expand

    What a wonderful game. Unravel is the most beautiful game I have ever seen, combined with a wonderful game mechanic and physics engine, Coldwood deserves much respect for creating such a beauty. I hope it won't be the last adventure with yarny.

Send them to the creator and maybe the creator will give us an Unravel 2 with a twist. Other than that...this is my GAME OF THE YEAR FOR 2016! This game helped washed the taste out of my mouth on a plethora of broken games, Rise of the Tomb Raider game breaking bugs,The best way to experience this majesty of a game is to play it yourself... read closely at the negative and mixed reviews.     Way too hardcore to be relaxing. In fact, the opposite to relax is true. The game will mop the floor with you. Deal with horrid physics, difficult jumps, dying a lot. Personally, I only enjoyed the introductory level. Everything else was incoherent mess. Most game reviews I read on this were stupidly inaccurate.

    One of my favorites platformers of all time is Kirby Epic Yarn, so I waited for a similar experience from this yarn platformer but didn't fall in love with this one.
    The graphics and music are great, gameplay is average, but puzzles and level designs spoil the fun because they not very player-friendly.     I think the problem is in the puzzles, you should be very very precise to solve them, so most of the time you understand how to solve them, but the lack of perfect timing and position or pressing the wrong button to spoil the solution. This irritates the most, one thing when you don't know how to solve the puzzle, but another when you know how, but it is difficult to jump or move things in a way level designers want you to do it. And I played with the gamepad, I fear to think how I would play it with the keyboard.

    So I could not get pleasure by playing this game, while music and graphics are great, other parts don't work so well. Also game quite repetitive, I played 4 levels and didn't see any new mechanics or features that were not introduced at the 1st level.    … Expand

    Unravel is not a difficult game, but it is challenging
    I never had to look up a solution to a puzzle, but it did stump me numerous times, making me feel like a genius when I finally figure out the simple solution that’s been staring me in the face for 5 minutes
    The puzzle aspect of this game is great, but I feel like there is just a little too much emphasis on it
    The levels in Unravel are gorgeous and so full of life, really putting you into the perspective of this character..
    You never feel like you’re in a generic themed level…
    Each level feels like this is a place from someone’s memory
    And they are, as you complete each level, a scrap book if filled in to give more insight into the story going on..
    A story just as beautiful as the levels
    You could stop almost anywhere during the game and be amazed at what’s going on in the breathing world around you
    Only problem is you have to actively do this, Unravel is almost constantly testing your brain,
    There are a few action sequences sprinkled in, but far less than there should be..
    It would be nice if there were more slow down moments in the game…
    And by slow down I mean for your brain, not the gameplay
    A little more emphasis on some linear platforming here and there rather than just puzzle platforming stacked on top of each other
    While I say this though, I never felt overwhelmed while playing unravel which is common for me when I play this type of game
    I actually couldn’t put the controller down..which is even more of a surprise considering each level took me anywhere from 20 to 50 minutes to play through organically…
    I just feel like so much work, care and love went into crafting these levels, and there’s never an opportunity to truly enjoy them…. To stop and soak them in...
    All of your focus and brain power is going right into the task at hand that the backdrop can sometimes become a blur…
    Unravel is fun, beautiful, it made me cry... in a good way…

    Not really a game, but more like an interactive cartoon which is way too sentimental and sappy. The whole game is infused with some weird random weltschmerz for no reason. And the mechanics are way too simplistic and don't really work every time.

    Gameplay - very fun and entertaining, skill based platformer. Normally I would recommend this game to anyone, but seeing as how there are a thousand other recommendations for this game, you already know it's good.

    Unravel may satisfy one's desire for a journey full of picturesque landscapes and ecstatic music, but the game's lack of puzzle variety may make it less exciting than anyone could have hoped.

The puzzle- or agility-based fragments were mostly fun to play and balanced in terms of difficulty, but what impressed me the most was the creativity of the yarn concept and its implementation. Yarny looks suspiciously realistic, as do the environments he traverses. Everything is beautifully designed, and the way Yarny uses >himself< to move around is both amusing and entertaining.

    Overall the experience of playing Unravel was very pleasant, enough that I'll definitely play the sequel, but it lacks the emotional appeal that could make it truly memorable.    … Expand

    Неплохо но в игре две механики и разработчик специально ставит точки куда притягиватся вне поля зрения и секреты которые можно найти только по гайдам и точно не при первом прохождении уровня

    I didn't really enjoy the sequel because so it's two player puzzly nature so decided to try this one. And i was not disappointed with what i saw there. Buy this and not the sequel.

    Most of the puzzles in Unravel are easy to tackle. The graphics and music are great. I'll try Unravel two soon.

    Incredibly cute adventure that will inspire, entertain and maybe even touch you. A must-have for the fans of platformers.

    Most of the time Yarny will be traversing beautiful locales, but you’ll also have to visit a chemical waste dump and a house overflowing with cockroaches (which will tear Yarny apart like a school of piranhas). At moments like these, all charm of the game totally disappears. [Issue#207, p.76]

    Amazing platformer nearly without any mistakes. Visually stunning, soulful, great, pleasant and with catchy music. Unravel is a pleasure to play no matter your genre preferences.
