    Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli for PS2 is only a bad reflection from the PS3 version of the game. It lacks good visuals, more game modes and multiplayer options. Maybe, Ferrari's cars are very interesting in the real life, but not in this title.

    Verdict
    Overall this is a fun game. I came across it at gamestop for $1.99 and it remained unplayed as i was playing GT3/GT4/TocaRAcedriver3/GrandPrixChallenge etc. I decided to play it just as a change of pace and was pleasantly surprised. The driving physics was very good.. simulation vs arcade which i like very much. The car sounds are awesome and there is a degree of customizations as you unlock cars. Confusing part is you set races based on minutes vs laps which i never really understood. Only drawback is that i don't think you can unlock an F1 car which is a shame. Graphics wise it is a bit flat.. tracks look grainy and no cockpit view. It will not replace GT3/GT4 but it will surely compliment it.    … Expand

    Of course, there are many things that need to be polished. First of all, the graphics are a bit clumsy. They need more detail. Gameplay itself is basic. Race on different tracks with turns and tricks. The good variety of Ferrari vehicles is a nice pro though.

    FC has this Challenge Cards game where you get random cards and have to choose certain statistics [weight, speed, year, etc.] The card that shows the car with the fastest speed/lightest weight or oldest year wins. It's good if you want to learn about Ferrari stats but otherwise...

    Lasting appeal is really low. Once you've finished the races [unless you got bored before that], there's nothing really worth a replay.
