  1. The game is short and easy, so you can get to each movie sequence pretty quickly. That also means that, once you've seen the clips and desire good gameplay, you don't have anything to look forward to except more of the same.
  2. Really one of those games that can be compared to a roller coaster in many ways. It has a lot of upsides and a lot of downsides, but in the end it just depends on whether you like roller coasters.
  3. The in-game dialogue is not provided by the original actors, but sound-alikes. Their voices are pretty close, but some, especially Anakin Skywalker's, can be very monotone.
  4. Unless you’re a completist who simply has to own everything Star Wars, I cannot recommend Revenge of the Sith for a full purchase. The game can be completed in about 4 -5 hours, and replaying it really has little value.
  5. But the potential of a great movie-to-game translation is marred by sub-standard controls dictated by a lack of 3rd person perspective.

The game's a tad short for my taste, although if you're looking for pure action, RoTS is the way to go. [July 2005, p.79]
  7. A very short game. You're best off making it a weekend rental and saving the rest of your money to go see the actual movie, if you haven't already.

Follows the movie’s storyline quite faithfully.
  9. It's obviously been slapped together from action sequences in the film to make a complimentary game and hopefully some easy cash, but on its own, it's less than stellar.
  10. The lightsaber dueling is ultimately too repetitive and easily exploited to be very fun for long, and each of the 16 missions (and subsequent bonus missions) don't take more than 10 to 20 minutes apiece to complete.
  11. The repetitive nature harms the game quite a bit and as such it can only be recommended to Star Wars fans or a rental for the casual fans.

Revenge of the Sith certainly isn’t the disaster the Phantom Menace game is, but it lacks memorable moments, and has a few too many damning flaws to recommend a purchase.
  13. Fortunately, the 1-on-1 fighting sequences are there to save it, but it would've been great if there were more of them and less of a focus on the average action sequences. If anything, it would've made the game last longer than the five hours it takes to beat it.

Without question, the only suitable home for this game is in a molten river on Mustafar right next to Anakin's legs and arm. [July 2005, p.117]

There's a multiplayer versus mode, but the combat system is so broken, it's barely worth it. [Aug 2005, p.78]

Too many levels center on mindless droid hacking. [Aug 2005, p.110]

Worst of all is the repetitive and completely linear feel of every mission.
  18. Unfortunately the offensive moves cannot stop the game from feeling repetitive. Shield door "puzzles" are recycled, while brief turret-blasting interludes are dull.

As a movie licence and a Star Wars game, Revenge of the Sith is not too bad. Still, it’s a disappointment when compared to The Collective’s previous output. The Collective has done what can be done in the relatively short development time and limited freedom offered by the licence. [June 2005, p.60]

I give it an 8 since it was a pain in the bum when I was a kiddo to play it, dying all the time but for sure a game featring a nice set of skills and characters, expanding the story. And thanks Jeezy it is in the PSN Store to buy. Full Review »

I never saved my game and the textures looked terrible. (Yes I do realise it's a PS2 game.) The gameplay felt stale after a while and the gameplay and mechanics never felt real or any good. But what do you expect from a game that was made from a moive.

It's alright. Not the best game I ever played but somewhere in the middle.
