This season, EA Sports has made a great effort to make its roster bigger than in the previous years. The change of FIFA to PS4 and Xbox One was very conservative, but this year it plays beautifully on the pitch and it shows a great physical form with the Frostbite Engine, The Journey and the exclusive licenses.
Fifa 17 is the best fifa regarding gameplay. It has everything closest to real football. Any type of goals are possible in this game. After my great disappointment on Fifa 21, I turned back to older Fifa’s and I liked , enjoy and play Fifa 17. Great game. EA should develop Fifa 22 , taking Fifa 17 as base and improve with authentic faces , leagues and graphics.
FIFA 17 is the biggest stride forward for football this generation. I can’t say it’s reclaimed the crown from PES, and for the players who have made the switch, you’ll still find the controls a little too erratic. But with vastly improved A.I. and more attacking options to complement the defensive backbone, this is the strongest FIFA this generation where it counts.
The story mode is fun, if slightly cliched, and you can simply ignore it if it’s not for you, while Ultimate Team is still as addictive as ever. The slow-paced gameplay and numerous button combinations might irk some people, but get used to it and it’s thoroughly rewarding.
I liken this year’s football shootout to musicians. In the current season, FIFA is like Madonna – aging but venerable, full of glitz and entertainment value, but ultimately lacking substance. Contrarily, PES is like a fiery independent singer, with minimal flash but much deeper soul where it counts most. In the end, both performers might put a smile on gamers’ faces, but FIFA’s bloat and wrinkles are beginning to show, especially with a younger, hungrier upstart nipping at its heels.
this game is excellent, no more scripted goals, real goalkeepers, and fun, nothing like the garbage of fifa 16, they just have to improve style game of teams offline and a new level of difficulty
Normally I would think it`s a typical FIFA game. If you have one, you have all. But the story mode is a nice change to the predecessors. Here you can play as young talent Alex Hunter on his way to the top. That`s a pretty fine novelty for a series that`s known for yearly repetition.
es el mismo juego de 2007, no hay novedades para seguir comprando un juego anual que solo es un cambio de uniformes y patrocinadores la verdad este tipos de juegos deberían venir a costo reducido
If you was expecting this to be the year FIFA won "the pitch" back your going to be sadly dissapointed.
While 17 does have nice graphics and having all the licences for the real teams are nice, it severally lacks in any on pitch depth.
Now it's time for the annual pro evo comparison.
Does FIFA have deep a deep customisable tactical mini game that really lets you stamp your mark on a team? Of course not, it's the same as all the other years.
How about being able to play the ball exactly where you want it to go based on your skill? nope it's like a magnet ball, the same as all the other years. And the passing has a slight delay... Which for any football game lover, such as myself is a cardinal sin.
Do players still randomly fall over, yep of course they do.
Do the players look better than they do in PES 17? No not even slightly, in FIFA they honestly look like clay models. The sweat and dirt effects and how the pitch rips up looks really good though.
The journey is a welcome addition and is really fun.... Until you have to play some football, I feel they have tried to hard on the journey and making the visuals look like sky sports. Doing that they forgot about the important bit.... The football.
I'm sure if you haven't tried this years edition of PES you can find some enjoyment in this, but after playing PES 17 you notice that FIFA 17 is lacking the love of the game which PES totally has.
Konami knocked it out of the park with pro evo this year and it was up to EA to try and win back the real football lovers. But they haven't, rather than fix the issues that have been annoying total football lovers since 12, they decided to try a distraction technique which, while at the moment seems to be working. In 4 months down the line when Alex Hunters journey is a distant memory, will I still be playing FIFA 17? No.
Full Kit W***er the video game it truly is. Dissapointing EA, must do better. 4/10
