As beautiful as it is deadly, Origins’ Egyptian playground is finally everything you wanted the Creed to be.

This is the best game in the Assassin’s Creed series. That extra year of development time has really helped Ubisoft find its creative centre again, and craft something that feels both fresh and energised. I could take or leave the shifts in gameplay to make this more like the loot-grind RPG-likes that dominate blockbuster game development now, but when Ubisoft is playing so beautifully within a fascinating period of history, all I care about is how utterly engrossed I am with the storytelling.

Assassin's Creed Origins is a triumph, taking the series back to the beginning and allowing players to partake in the genesis of the war between the Templars and the Brotherhood of Assassins.

Origins is a great game that relies heavily on its setting to make an impact on the player. Its gameplay also evolves, and although it still has some of the issues the series have been suffering in the last few entries, it’s definitely a step in the right direction. If you’ve ever been interested in the series, don’t miss this one.

Assassin's Creed Origins has vastly improved combat and an astoundingly beautiful world to explore, but it felt a little afraid of going all in with its new direction.

After taking a year off, Assassin's Creed is going through a transitional period and taking players back to the very founding of the Brotherhood in Ancient Egypt is symbolic of that. The vast new setting, the improved combat system and moving the series towards being a real action RPG have injected this series with a new life.

Assassin’s Creed: Origins offers an engrossing and deeply satisfying open world in the lands of Egypt. Gorgeous visuals make it a lovely place to explore with rich environments. Still, the excessive amount of bugs at launch are devastating and hampered my experience significantly. Add to that a poorly paced narrative devoid of substantial character development and a battle system that fails to meet its full potential and I can't help but feel something important is missing, Regardless, Assassin's Creed: Origins has a lot to offer new and old fans alike - though the state of its technical performance at launch is highly questionable.

Screw those stupid 0 reviews.Actually,i've been gave up on AC since the failure of unity and syndicate, but then i heard the rumours about ACScrew those stupid 0 reviews.Actually,i've been gave up on AC since the failure of unity and syndicate, but then i heard the rumours about AC in Egypt (the setting that i like so much). So i decide to give it a chance, then again i was disappointed because of the gameplay they release was nothing special.I thought ACO will going to be a big failure for Ubi again this time. But when it released,i gave it a chance and REALLY REALLY can't put it down now.The graphic is stunning, beautiful setting, combat is good (you can't feel this in the gameplay trailer so try this for yourself),the story so far is good (i've played for only 4 hours). All i could tell you is don't look at the false reviews and give this game a chance. You'll definitely enjoy it (thank me later) Expand

Visuals are amazing, I love that you get flashback missions not just cutscenes when something big happens like killing a high-rank enemy, giving you a backstory to the point of why your taking down this high rank masked one etc. the map is quite big bigger than any AC universe and if you wanna 100% this game then it will take you some time.

Struggling a little with combat I'm so used to countering then killing like all the other AC games if you think the combat is simple compared to the other games your in for a little surprise!

YES! there is a Helix credit system, so for people who don't have time to grind can buy in-game currency to spend and some weapons can be unlocked via Uplay credits which are free to earn via your Uplay account anyway. I personally don't buy in-game content at all and only believe that if micro-transactions are on multiplayer games it is unfair.... for single player games the only things you buy with your real money for in-game currency..... if you even want to buy them only affects your personal experience for campaign, not like GTA Online, Battlefield, Battlefront 1 & 2 Loot Packs etc etc so for single player content i don't mind but I personally don't buy content from any game I play!

Apart from that 10/10 definately an upgrade for syndicate and the bugged monster Unity!

    Would recommend.

Listen, there are a lot of haters rating this game. Let me tell you this game is absolutely a good game though, true, it's innovations are new for the series everything here has definitely been done before. As an assassin's creed game it is a huge breath of fresh air while staying familiar in all the right places. As a video game in general it's beautiful too look at, fun to explore, and controls very well.

I did experience some minor graphical glitches in my play through which caused nothing more than a minor immersion breaker. I did not experience any crashing or other major glitches in my personal play through. The combat system being that of dark souls suffers the same downsides as it's application in those games. 1v1 the combat is absolutely fantastic but additional enemies can dampen the experience. The camera, like that in Dark Souls, has trouble with this scenario. I never felt like those moments were bad you just feel like the game is against you in those moments which, hey, if you are outnumbered, perhaps is the point.

I think this game is worth a full price purchase I had a blast and if it does see a sale for Black Friday 2017 I think this turns into a must buy.

As a long time fan of the series, i can tell you Ubisoft haven't had the best luck in their past couple of games. AC3 being average (or even below), Unity being a disaster and Syndicate just being Unity but without the massive bugs.

Origins was the hit Ubisoft needed it to regain the fans trust in the series. The Map is very, very large with a variety of stuff to do. You can either do side quests, discover tombs, hunt animals, climb pretty much everything or you can just simply ride your horse and enjoy the beautiful graphics. The combat is bit difficult to get use to but eventually you'll figure it out. This game is by all means an RPG, which if you are not a fan of then you probably won't like but i love that aspect.

However, that doesn't mean it's perfect. Bayek as a protagonist is extremely bland, shallow and very boring. The Story is pretty much a recycled version of AC2, a revenge story in which you hunt down and kill shadowey figures who were involved in the murder of your son.
And finally we have bugs, it just woundn't be an Assassins creed game without its bugs. The game can get a bit buggy sometimes, E.G freezing for a minute then resuming, constant FPS drops (especially when you're fighting a large number of enemies) .
Micro-Transactions never were really a problem here, the game really doesn't force you to buy anything, unlike other games (looking at you Shadow of War).
But all in all i find myself satisfied with the game and it is definitely worth a buy.

I think paying £45 for a game should include ALL the costumes, weapons and steeds as part of the game and let us unlock them by completing specific tasks/trophies/missions and NOT by taking our credit card numbers. If the developers want to make more money then charge for “time savers”

GRAPHICS 10/10 (seriously the best I’ve seen in any RPG, ever! Cannot emphasise enough how visually stunning it is in 4K)
