If you’re itching for a hootin’ and hollerin’ good time with the good ol’ boys and gals of ‘Murica, look no farther than Far Cry 5. The solid core of the game provides a perfect vehicle for a nuanced and thought-provoking story in an underused setting. Some of the content might make folks uncomfortable, but if you hang on tight like Clutch Nixon would, there’s a very worthwhile adventure to be had in Hope County.
Far Cry 5 is a massive game with tons of content and Far Cry Arcade has the potential to keep the game fresh and exciting for months to come. In the end, Far Cry 5 didn't make the most out of its rural setting and didn't innovate much on the typical Far Cry gameplay formula although it still ranks as one of the best games in the series.
Far Cry 5 is exactly that - more Far Cry. If you've never been a fan of the series, this doesn't do anything to change your mind. If you loved liberating outposts and blowing shit up in the Himalayas, you'll enjoy doing it in Hope County, too. Its sprawling world, varied missions, and memorable characters all make for an incredibly entertaining experience, and helped me to overlook the niggling technical issues and occasional frustrating fetch quests in my 30+ hours in Montana.
Public executions aside, Far Cry 5’s world is meticulously constructed, and it’s a remarkable facsimile of Big Sky Country. Unfortunately, too much of the action in it is uninspired. It’s a beautiful but bland recitation of what’s come before, from both the series and Ubisoft’s open-world playbook. It’s never bad, but considering how great the past games have been, its overall predictability is disappointing.
The best Far Cry game in my opinion! The fluidity and the overall feeling of the gameplay are so satisfying and fun. Also, the storyline brings a unique feel of the Far Cry 5 world.
Far Cry 5 very much like the other games in the franchise, if you like Far Cry games you will like Far Cry 5. It's not really innovative but it works. The main character in this game is silent, this to say the least, impacts character development since there is no character. The main villain has his moments, but he also feels stale sometimes since he just monologues in your face all the time. The side villains are some of the best in the series; each one feels unique in their own way. The friendly side characters are really hit or miss, some are interesting while others just annoyed me. The main missions have good variety and plenty of action so it's sure to keep you hooked, the side missions on the other hand are a completely different story. Some of them are fun missions that are goofy in a good way, others are just lame. The map is a little monotonous, it's not bad but it's one of the worse open worlds out there. The gunplay is about what you would expect in any Far Cry game, you go around and shoot people. They added these ai soldiers that you can enlist with you to help you in missions, they also added more enjoyable vehicles to use. Far Cry 5 is a fun game, but it isn't a must buy by any means.
its decent game but i prefer far cry 4 because of the open world that game is better and plus far cry 5 has a lame story and villian however the gameplay is much more fluid u have more freedom than other far cry game
I've played through all the far cry games after two and this is the worst on by far. I enjoyed new dawn more than this rubbish. It was a huge let down for me because I love the far cry games.
