    I see all these comments saying not to listen to the criticism. Well i'll tell you not to listen to these 5 star comments. They're shills paid to promote and defend the game.. It's the same as fifa 19 with the exception of a gimicky game mode which will get boring after a couple of days.. Not to mention P2W and handicapping being just as prevalent this year.

    Its interesting isn't it, that FIFA disappears off the main games area of metacritic just before the game gets officially released and the real critics, eg the players get to review it. So the only time it is there is when the paid shill critics have said how good it is. Very suspicious Metacritic. Anyway, this is FIFA 19 reskinned, updated rosters and an extra cash grab mode.

    I don't know how these reviewing companies are giving it such a high rating, it's hardly changed from the last one especially this "revamped" career mode, it's STILL full of bugs, the Volta mode is just a copy and paste of fifa street 2012

    The defense changes of fifa 20 are absolutely stupid. The players dont react to anything in the defense so you can just run and shoot. Badest football game ever made.

    I am not a hater, but this game is so bad. Unrealistic gameplay, scripted gameplay. FUT is a separate game with a whole different gameplay that the basic game. Again, the same thinga. Same gameplay, same bugs, same issues.
    FUT is a money grab full of microtranzactions, lootboxes gambling and pay to win. Nothing new, nothing improved. I will stick with PES 2020.

Gameplay wise the same issues are at play. Tackles bounce back to the opponent, passing is awful and the shooting system is erratic and unpredictable. Icon SBC's have also been removed from the game in order to punish those who grind towards completing them over an extended period of time and hence push them to an inflated transfer market and buying FIFA points.

    In short this is arguably more pay to win than ever before and possesses the potential to be the worst instalment in the franchise which after playing 19 is quite a statement.

    If you have any value for mental health and the retention of your hairline avoid this cash cow money grabbing casino at all costs.    … Expand

EA do not care about the customers that aren’t constantly spending additional money on FUT and this is proven by the fact that #fixcareermode is now trending on Twitter and yet they haven’t addressed the long list of issues being faced while at the same time have assured FUT players multiple times since release that minor connection issues are being worked on to ensure they have a good experience. Talk about hypocrisy and disloyalty. Career mode players like myself have played fifa since the late 90’s and seen our favourite game mode sink into oblivion each year. Shame on you EA! This is basically the same game as the previous two ones. EA spent efforts to bring VOLTA but no one cares about it. They wont make a new guy because they're making rivers of money.     I have played FIFA for many years. But im so tired of EA. Its almost the same game as FIFA19,18,etc. The gameplay is too arcady and not realistic at all.     Examples:
    - Team lineups are wrong, opponent are playing 2nd and 3rd team against title contenders.
    - Ultimate difficulity is way to easy.
    - UCL and Europa league stops working after 4-5 seasons.

    This is a short list of a few bugs .

    EA were supposed to fix the bugs in this game and also give us a new exciting career mode. Instead, they give us some useless rubbish like interviews which have zero bearing on what happens. The same old rubbish is here. EA will never get it unless people boycott buying it, but unfortunately gamers are not wise enough to do so

    Game has only received minor changes and updates compared to previous versions. Comes with crucial bugs and EA Server availabilty is not stable. The Ultimate Team Mode remains absolute Pay-to-win. EA shows again that it's not about the game, it's about the money.

Instead, I returned the game. I never got into Ultimate Team ($$$) in the previous titles and the new game doesn't have the cherished story mode. The new playground mode feels more like a mini-game that you'd seeI can successfully sign into my EA account via many different games on many different platforms, but for some reason FIFA20 on PS4 insisted that I needed to change my password.     I'm sorry but PES is better this year, more leagues, more teams, actually has the Juventus logo, the ultimate team in pes actually rewards you and doesn't require you to spend money, the gameplay is fast and you feel like you actually make a impact. Also this is the opposite for FIFA 20. The only thing good about FIFA 20 is Volta but it's not worth 60 bucks

Ahhhh que el tiro lo ha hecho una carta ICONO... eso traspasa todo. visual bugs, visual bugs... en fin... y la gente se lo cree. El famoso Handicap está ahí, por mucho que EA se esfuerce en desmentirlo. Según los FP que gastes, así te irá en el juego con su sistema de matchmaking patentado para "invitarte" a comprar FP emparejando un equipo que vale 100k con otro que vale 10 millones...

    Ninguna innovación en modo carrera (ah que ahí no necesitas FP!) Seguimos con calendarios irreales, compra-venta de jugadores irreales. No he visto licencia peor gestionada que la Champions League por parte de FIFA.    … Expand

    Same game as every other year and to many microtransaction. So if you still like Fifa by all means pick it up. Otherwise I wouldn't recommend it. The practises in this game have also made kids empty their parents bank account completely so if you are a parent. Don't buy this to your kids.

    Again all ea sports care about is the extra money with ultimate team.. the only additions to the gameplay seems to be ridiculous tricks. Yet again the people who play offline in career mode have been left with one minor addition (interviews before and after games) had this game 2 days and will probably not play it again.

    I think ea has reached a point where it doesn't know what to do better with the game, and that it does one thing and deliberately destroys other parts. And the defense system and the goalkeepers have gone, rather than improving, which confuses the user to learn, rather than challenge.

    Gameplay is quite good but the game is ridden with multiple game breaking bugs.
    Career mode is so broken. Best teams don't play their starting XI among other game breaking bugs. Refunded it the next hour I got it. Stay clear of this!

    Great foundation for gameplay imo, but career mode is a massive disappointment right now. Until the bugs are patched, there's no point in playing it, which is majorly annoying given that I'm seeing the possibility for fun in CM this year.

    Let's see. Gameplay is a joke. Servers are awful. FUT plays nothing like football and is all about getting people to buy packs. Career Mode is a dumpster fire. Volta... well nobody cares. And to top things off, EA just accidentally released personal information for tons of people.

    EA is just about the worst company on the planet, and it's evident top to bottom in FIFA.

Why do EA break a game that used to be brilliant and release this crap. One of the worst matchmaking I have ever seen. Sorry for wasting money on this.

    Another year, another Fifa I won't be buying. I think a lot of people had already given up on the single player Fifa but there was substantial hype about it this time round over the big changes they've made. I'm going to systematically go through them in an effort to convince you, the consumer, to not buy this game, especially if you already own any Fifa game from the past 5 years+.Another year, another Fifa I won't be buying. I'm going to systematically go through them in an effort to convince you, the consumer, to not buy this game, especially if you already own any Fifa game from the past 5 years+.

    1) Customisable manager - this is just insulting. A feature which should've been in ages ago is finally added and it is hailed as some sort of new and exciting feature. This is the bare minimum EA, that it took this long is nothing short of a joke.

    2) Press conferences/face the media - anybody really want some more tedious cut-scenes? Well congratulations now you have them. I don't know exactly how they perform but here's a prediction: they're an interesting novelty for the first week only then becoming completely asinine and annoying.

    3) Dynamic player potential - this is the one that has received most fan fare from EA, from the game changers who laud every tiny thing as amazing so they can still operate their youtube channels, and from everyone else. I remember PES6 had dynamic potential with players performing above potential when playing well. PES 6 - that's PS2! It is again a case of EA drip feeding minor improvements and hailing them as some sort of revolution. They're not, they are the bare minimum that should have and could have been in the game much sooner than now. By hailing changes like this is something amazing you encourage EA to carry on adding only the tiniest of improvements year after year whilst failing to improve the core game and experience.

    4) Managing morale - on paper this sounds interesting but from what I understand it to be it's just an extra addition to players coming to you and saying stuff like 'I'm not happy with my game time boss' and you padding one of three responses back to them and the mythical morale moves up and down slightly. If this was implemented properly, in a deep and meaningful way, it'd be a good feature. Sadly this is EA, so I guarantee that this whole system will be, at best, shallow and meaningless.

    5) League specific themes - a) does anyone really care? b) why couldn't this have been implemented in previous releases? Another classic case of EA drip-feeding miniscule improvements.

    6) Live screenshots - see number 5.

    7) Ability to disable international management offers - this is such a basic feature, and one which could've been in years and years ago, that I am truly angered by it. It is a LONG overdue option, EA gets not credit for that.

    8) Miscellaneous improvements - things listed by EA like sorting fixture congestion, and youth player values, etc are things you would expect in a rudimentary patch, no an (allegedly) brand new game, you certainly wouldn't expect them to be advertised but I suppose when you have so little new going on in your game you have to try and squeeze all the juice you can out of anything remotely different.

    Things that could've made the experience better that weren't included:

    1) A proper, well-integrated youth system/academy. Every year fans say this is what they want, every year they are ignored.

    2) A properly implemented transfer system - players, especially young players with high potential, can still be bought on the cheap which does not reflect the reality of the transfer market. Add to the fact you can buy any player from any club, provided you have the money, and it's just daft. Zero realism and immersion breaking.

    3) Depth - this is very vague I know but everything in Fifa, from negotiations to transfers to youth players to (I suspect) the press conferences and morale is all just superficial gloss. They actually impact the game very little overall and if they do impact the game, like say youth players, they do so in such a ham-fisted way that it removes the enjoyment anyway.

    4) An actual new game - once more you have rehash of old ideas and concepts rather than anything new and meaningful. Career mode, make no mistake, has been abandoned. How Fifa have managed to stretch a game like this over several years, and still maintain sales, is beyond me. Anybody looking for a new, fresh experience needs to look somewhere else because you ain't getting it from Fifa.

    If you buy the game you tacitly support EA's piss poor contribution to single player mode and their slavish dedication to the FUT money spinning modes - if enough players stopped buying the game (which they won't, sadly) it would force EA to change. Whilst they continue to make money hand-over-fist expect further disappointments long into the future. And if your pining for the next gen Fifa, like you think something will be new or different or spectacular, then please just take a look EA's past record and stop deluding yourself.    … Expand

    FIFA 20 is a better football simulation in overall compared to FIFA 19, but it’s still lagging behind its main competitor greatly. EA is losing the race to Konami, at least in this generation of consoles, where they used to dominate.
