Spongebob Squarepants: The Cosmic Shake is a colorful, creative and funny platformer that will keep any yellow sponge lover entertained for hours. Despite the one-sided side missions and weapons arsenal, exploring the seven absurd and recognizable dimensions is fun for both young and old.
Spongebob Squarepants: The Cosmic Shake is a 3D platform that fans of the cartoons will enjoy, even if it lacks that stroke of genius that would have allowed it to be more memorable.
SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake is a solid game for true fans of the TV series and a way to introduce young gamers to the platforming genre. While its graphics and design improve on SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom-Rehydrated, the lack of diversity in the Jelly enemies and Wishworld designs will be a turn off to some. All the same it's worth checking out for the endless references to the show.
SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake represents a setback compared to what was seen in the remake of Battle for Bikini Bottom, which should be the standard, especially since this is a game with an "original" proposal. Without problems, it can be an introductory experience to gaming for children and youth audiences, but outside of that group and if you are not a fan of the series, better watch an episode or its movies.
SpongeBob Cosmic Shake is a small but decent platform game without much pretension. THQ's title prefers to capitalise on its accessibility and fan service rather than trying to offer a dense and deep adventure. A choice that will certainly delight the youngest, but much less the older fans. The game is indeed content with the bare minimum regarding its structure, its writing and its gameplay and if it succeeds in what it undertakes, one can only complain that it really does too little. And it's a pity, as the universe lends itself well to it.
I don’t normally rate games, but “Spongebob Cosmic Shake” is a really good platformer. This game is a finished product and Purple Lamp actually listened to the consumers complaints about the constant pop in and frame drops of “BFBBR”. “Cosmic Shake” plays smooth in comparison and is just a better game overall. “BFBBR” is still a classic, but Purple Lamp should have taken more time with it,as there’s still some things that haven’t been fixed. Buy both games because they’re both great, even if “BFBBR” has some drawbacks.
Nice Blast of Nostalgia. I would suggest this for the folks who like simple gaming and platformers. I'm a **** for all Platformers, 3D or otherwise. I would recomend this to folks, like me, who like old school gaming like Banjo Kazooie and modern Bowsers Fury. Great Re-playability and not too long.
SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake is a colorful and fun platformer game that follows the adventures of SpongeBob and his friends as they attempt to save Bikini Bottom from a mysterious cosmic shake.
One of the best things about The Cosmic Shake is its charming and whimsical presentation. The game's colorful visuals and quirky sense of humor are sure to delight fans of the SpongeBob SquarePants franchise. The game's soundtrack is also noteworthy, with a lively and upbeat score that perfectly captures the spirit of Bikini Bottom.
In terms of gameplay, The Cosmic Shake is a solid platformer that offers a good balance of challenge and fun. The controls are intuitive and responsive, making it easy for players to navigate the game's environments and perform acrobatic feats. The game's levels are well-designed and offer a good mix of exploration and platforming challenges.
However, there are a few areas where the game falls short. The game's story is rather basic and uninspired, and some players may find the game's humor to be hit-or-miss. Additionally, the game's difficulty can sometimes feel unbalanced, with some sections being overly difficult and others feeling too easy.
Despite these minor shortcomings, SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake is still a charming and fun platformer that is sure to delight fans of the franchise. The game's colorful visuals and whimsical sense of humor make it a great choice for younger players or fans of the SpongeBob SquarePants universe.
All in all, I would rate SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake a 7 out of 10. The game is a solid platformer that is sure to provide a fun and entertaining gaming experience for fans of the franchise. If you're looking for a lighthearted and whimsical gaming experience, The Cosmic Shake is definitely worth checking out.
Delightful romp, performance is the only thing that does get in the way and brings it down from a 10, as the audio sometimes sounds echo-ie which is strange from a probably big budget game, and some cuts can feel a bit jolty and abrupt, but again, otherwise the game is enjoyable
"Bikini Bottom" is fun but this "The Cosmic Shake" is really annoying, laggy and boring. Do not make mistake that this game will be the same or better than BB.
