This is a game that offers such poignant and relevant social commentary, and after many years of being either PC-exclusive, or released in a very watered down fashion on game consoles, it’s great to see that this great experiment in giving us the tools to play around with humanity is finally on console in a full and unabridged way.

The Sims 4 comes to consoles with the best of the version released for PC in 2014. It does not offer any free content besides the Happy Holidays package , but this can be complemented with the best of the catalog of packs and expansions from the day the game goes on sale. If you have not played the game yet, here's your chance.

The Sims 4 comes on home consoles with all the goods and all the drawbacks of the PC version.

The possibilities when it comes to edition that a game like The Sims 4 offers are really interesting, although it is obviously easier to handle and more comfortable to play in PC. After three years in the shelves, EA could have launched the game with some more content. However, those who already know the franchise know what it offers and this iteration of the game may appeal only to those who weren't able to play the PC version.

EA has managed to successfully adapt the UI to the PS4 controller, and even if sometimes it isn't as intuitive as it should, it's quite accessible. The Sims experience remains, but if you can choose a version, keep in mind this one is three years behind content-wise.

A 1:1 conversion of the PC game that suffers problems with the control, camera and that arrives without the possibility of adding content created by users.

I might have been able to get past the mind-numbing monotony of this game, if it weren’t so poorly designed for consoles.

If you drink from your beer every time you get a bug or glitch, you will be drunk under the table within 15 minutes.

As a Sims player since the original, i gotta say a lot has changed. The social system is better than ever, but the world is smaller than ever. The animations and graphics are better than ever, but options in travelling are just loading screens compared to the open world of The Sims 3. For every good thing i can name a negative thing about the design of The Sims 4. I have to say though, the building tools for The Sims 4 is absolutely fantastic!

And as always, there are expansions. Each of these is sold for 40 euros, which is just appalling when you realize it is content that has been made multiple times for previous Sims games already. Every entry has the same themes (Cat & Dogs, Get to Work, Get Famous) and are used to earn additional money instead of providing fair content. It's gone to far, and if it wasn't for a sale last month i wouldn't have bothered to buy any expansions.

I bought the game for 15 euros, which makes it a better deal considering the content there is. If this game was 60 euros however, it would have been a scam. This game has a lot to prove when it's the fourth entry in a series, and it only barely gives something new.

All and all i enjoyed the game on Console. The controls can be frustrating at first, but after a while i got used to it. I enjoyed it very much, and i can see myself returning to it from time to time.

It is a good game, but it's also a buggy mess all the time. I give it a 7/10.

The worst installment of the series, the base game has been cannibalised, taking away many features that used to be in previous installmentsThe worst installment of the series, the base game has been cannibalised, taking away many features that used to be in previous installments unless you are willing to spend a metric **** tonne of money for these features to be implemented in the form of dlc. These are spread into three different categories, expansion packs which cost £32.99 which add in a few new jobs and features. There are game packs which cost £11.99 which add a few less features than the expansion pack, and there are stuff packs for £7.99 which if you haven't guessed already give you less stuff than the previous 2 packs. All of these packs are essentially content that was cut and added back in so EA can squeeze as much money out of its consumers as possible. Onto gameplay and controls. The controls are awful the cursor hardly ever goes where you want it to, and occasionally jumps to different sections of the screen making it impossible to select certain options. The gameplay is not any better your character will maybe start eating his/her food then immediately put it down and stand still for half an in game day before complaining that they are starving. There's not much to this game, if you enjoy the Sims games and don't have money coming out of your ears to purchase the full experience I would recommend getting the sims 3 on console, there's more to do, see, buy and explore all for a fraction of the price of the Sims 4 base game. I suggest avoiding this game like the plague unless you have more money than sense Expand

The PS4 controls render the game totally unplayable. It lags on my PS4, the "cursor" jumps from side to side - you can't even properly place your objects in the spot you wanted them because everything's so jumpy and laggy.
I love the Sims, and I've played many other Sims games on consoles - but this is by far the absolute WORST iteration of it. I'm returning this game and getting a refund.
