It's both an immensely fun and a strangely therapeutic experience; a great experience packed with action and satire in equal measure.
Shooting Stars! is a simple and basic shoot'em up, with a funny premise: you've got to shoot brainwashed celebrities instead of ugly aliens. Aside that, it's a Space Invaders wannabe, nothing more, nothing less. And it becomes tedious after a few hours.
If you can ignore the nonsensical story and execution, Shooting Stars is a decent arcade shooter.
If you're looking for a quick game to blast away five minutes you could do a lot worse than Shooting Stars!
It's entertaining, at times, but its contents are way too thin to last.
It’s just not funny, original, or adrenaline-fueled as it needs to be to stand out among a crowded indie pack.
There is no reason to waste your time on a game as unambitious as Shooting Stars! You can say it's a small game, a joke game, a mobile game, and that's all true. I'm not holding it to ridiculous big-budget standards. But even within its genre and scope, there are better playing games out there that don't insult your intelligence on a regular basis. Play those instead.

Summary Shooting Stars is a refreshing colorful and funny take on the classic arcade shoot'em up, bullet hell, shmup, space invader like, whatever you want to call it – but finally, with evil aliens disguised as superstars, cats and rainbow lazers. Superstars like Justin Belieber, PewDerPie, Kanye East and many more.
