Big Brain Academy: Brain vs. Brain is a fantastic couch co-op game, even for a system like the Nintendo Switch, which has no shortage of them, and is a great addition to the library of those who love playing games with their friends.
Very small issues aside, there’s just such a genuine charm oozing out of Brain vs Brain, thanks to a charming exterior, fun solo play and addictive multiplayer mode, making Big Brain Academy: Brain vs Brain one of the best puzzle experiences available on Switch. Regardless of any issues the mismatched control levelling causes, for casual gamers and those who want a pick-up-and-play puzzler are a fine example of how to breathe life back into an aged and forgotten game series.
I love this minigames in my opinión they are better than warioware ones because you must think more. I love the ds version too, I only miss that dont have 3 levels at the beggining and that the game dont incluides stylus like brain training(That didnt come to América).
Big Brain Academy: Brain vs. Brain recycles much of what we’ve seen before and it still doesn’t have a true online feature, but it’s a step in the right direction given the inclusion of the Ghost Clash mode. There’s plenty of fun to be had when battling against players’ ghost data online, but households with more than one person that can get together face-to-face will undoubtedly find more value here. This is the most accessible Big Brain Academy to date, thanks to its generous difficulty options. Plus, if you care enough for collectable accessories for your avatar, then there’s a lot of replayability to be had, too. Solo players, on the other hand, may be left wanting more as the slim catalogue of mini-games wears thin quickly, moreso if they’ve been under the watchful eye of Dr Lobe before.
Training your brain never hurts, and this game on the Switch provides another great opportunity to do so. The game presents you with a series of activities and although some of them can be a bit frustrating, thanks in part to the controller control (play in handheld), it does manage to bring a lot of fun thanks to its diversity and multiplayer features. Not the best game ever in the series, but it is one that will entertain you.
Big Brain Academy returns with an installment that emphasizes its multiplayer part, but falls short both in terms of options and content. What is available is good, but it is also insufficient at a time when it is easy to find more interesting proposals, both in terms of mental training and in terms of the party games catalogue. It's not a bad game, but it doesn't go beyond the minimum required.
I love to play this game to train my brain, I think it's a must-have game for people who love challenges and self-improvement. It's great! Personally got it on sale so, it was a nice purchase!
This game is incredibly nostalgic for me. The original Big Brain Academy was the game I got with my DS, and I loved it. Seeing this series return after over a decade truly makes me happy. I wasn't expecting this game to be anything special, but I've fallen in love with it in the few hours I have played. Playing these brain building minigames is very fun, and I often got a wave of excitement when playing a minigame for the first time and going "I remember this!" There are also some from the wii title, which I'm sure will excite players who played that game. The structure of minigames and tests are overall the same, but there are also some new modes to make this game even better. The ghost clash mode has you fight other player's ghost. It does require a nintendo account to use the internet, but there is no lag whatsoever, and if you don't have an account, you can go against the ghosts of your Switch's other profiles. I actually recommend making more profiles for this game if you don't share the system with anyone else. You can compete with yourself, and ghost clash is much more challenging against yourself. Overall I adored this mode, it's very addicting, even if the difficulty progression is somewhat slow. You can also unlock a hard mode for the minigames, where they start at a higher difficulty. It's not any different from regular practice other than that, but it's a nice addition. Some of the minigames are actually easier in hard mode, while some are incredibly difficult. Unlocking this mode is quick and easy too, I was able to get at least a gold on all but one minigame on my first try, and the last one I got on the second try. (I also got platinum medals on 4 out of the 20 minigames on the first try, but that's not important) It may seem small having only 4 modes, but you will keep coming back to play more. It's addicting and very fun. There is also multiplayer, so technically there are 5 modes. This game is also surprisingly clean and polished. The artstyle is charming, even if it isn't as stunning as other recent nintendo games, and there's no loading times. The game only takes like 5 seconds to start once you open it, and that's it. I don't think I've ever seen a game load so fast so consistently. The $30 price is pretty fair, especially since it's cheaper than the original game was at launch. I may be hyping this game up as something amazing, but I want you to lower your expectations going in. That's how I was able to fall in love with it so quickly. I didn't think this would be my favorite Nintendo developed game of 2021 (favorite original at least, sorry Miitopia), but I was pleasantly surprised by this small but charming bundle of nostalgia. I'm glad a new generation of kids can get to experience this, and even if you're an adult it's still a great time.
For me this game is severely lacking in terms of content. There is not enough mini games to keep things interesting. You could probably finish them all with gold medals in couple of hours. For sure it's original game... But it's not that interesting and I actually wouldn't recommend buying it.
This didn't really hit home for my SO and I, as a two player challenge game. We were expecting a lot more, but the minigames mostly feel simple and uninteresting. Some of them are enjoyable, but not all. And you can get through them all during one session. Was really expecting a lot more.
