Capcom Arcade Stadium is a staggeringly good port of many solid games, breathing new life into them with unique challenges and through a robust suite of difficulty options. It’s a great way to experience these games no matter your skill level, and offers so much variety that I just kept coming back for more.

One of the best coin-op collections ever produced, not just in terms of the games included but the excellent presentation and range of options.

Capcom Arcade Stadium is simply one of the best arcade compilations out there for its vast assortment of excellent games alone. Throw in a gorgeous presentation and comprehensive leaderboards and you're left with one must-have collection.

What keeps Capcom Arcade Stadium of having a perfect score, is the lack of Online Multiplayer and certain beloved games, that would otherwise elevate this title to new heights. That said, it's an excellent trip to the past, with a good amount of content and tons of replayability. Certainly, a way of reminding us old-schoolers why we loved Capcom in first place and how empty our wallets were due to their arcade dominance. The Nintendo Switch received another great entry to its already big roster.

Capcom Arcade Stadium provides a generous bunch of golden-age arcade titles (with a little too much Street-Fighterism), paired with a vast assortment of options and gorgeous presentation.

It has some important shortcomings, such as the absence of big names on the list or extras to review such a rich and extensive history, as well as exclusively local multiplayer, but otherwise it is a very good compilation of the history of Capsule Computer in arcades.

If you're interested in reliving some of Capcom's past glory, it's never been easier to do so with Capcom Arcade Collection. A wealth of customization options allows players to fine-tune their experience like never before. However, the lack of bonus features and a lineup that could've been more varied stop this collection from reaching a new high score.

For around $40 you get 32 games ranging from the very early days up to early 2000's titles like Progear. What you get are mostly great entries, but there is some unnecessary overlap with 3 versions of Street Fighter 2, and the variety of games basically boils down to platforming, shmups, fighting, and beat em ups with an emphasis on shmups and beat em ups.

The game modes available are really fun, and give a score-chasing element like you'd get if you were actually at the arcade. This is aided by the presentation of each game on a cabinet of your choosing, with options to change filters, cabinet type, or regular screen presentation with border images.

Some of the earlier games have poor scaling, not quite filling up as much screen real estate as they should, and I've heard some games have some moderate emulation issues, but as a relatively casual player I didn't notice any issues with the vast majority of the games.

Overall, a great collection of games with a few issues, and at a pretty reasonable price even before any sales. Give it a shot.
