Enter The Gungeon Co-Op Gameplay On Switch

Apr 3, 2018Enter the Gungeon is dangerously easy to jump back into for ‘just one more game’. It’s been out for a while on other consoles, but it is the perfect fit on the Switch as you can try and squeeze in another run for the gun wherever you may be. With great pixel art filled with personality, appropriate music, and fun gameplay, it’s not hard to sink many hours into Enter the Gungeon.
Dec 18, 2017Enter The Gungeon is about as good as it gets for scratching that roguelike itch. The dungeon-craw- excuse me, gungeon-crawling mixed with twin-stick shooting has proven in the past to be a solid gameplay setup, and here mixed in with the smooth dodge-roll mechanic plus the great amount of customizable guns makes every run-through fun and exciting. The colorful and idiosyncratic style of the sprites and animation are absolutely delightful, and almost make you root for the cute little bullets shuffling around trying to kill you. The game runs great both docked and in handheld mode, the latter being what makes the Switch the amazing console it is. Obviously, if challenging games aren’t your thing you may want to think twice before purchasing, but if you are in market for an excellent roguelike, look no further and Enter The Gungeon.
Dec 22, 2017The game looks great with its fantastic pixel art and also has a soundtrack that makes the game sound just as cool as it looks. If you are into puns and twin-stick shooters then Enter the Gungeon is probably for you. The game also features a co-op mode so if you aren’t into getting beat on alone you can bring a friend along for the bullet storm ride.
Jan 24, 2018One third bullet hell, one third shoot 'em up, and one third roguelike, Enter the Gungeon is a magnificent blend of three genres that go together impressively well. The wide variety of guns keeps each playthrough feeling fresh, regardless of the character chosen, and the diverse enemy design is sure to keep players on their toes as they force their way through the Gungeon. There are some issues that rise from the randomness of it all, par for the course for a roguelike, but the fluid gameplay, massive weapon cache, and bullet-heavy atmosphere make Enter the Gungeon one incredibly endearing experience.

this game is just very satisfying and fun to play in general. the controls are a bit tough to get used to at first, but well-made and customizeable. just being in this game and shooting the enemies and progressing through it is very satisfying. i love the small pieces of charm, like how everything is gun-related, and the randomness combined with the difficulty leads to it being a game you can play over and over again, having a different experience each time. the lore behind the game is surprisingly detailed, and each gun and character has a reason for existing. the game itself seems to not take itself seriously at times, however, such as having a shotgun shell that shoots shotguns that shoots shells.
the difficulty of the game can be daunting at first, but the difficulty is rewarded by the bosses and new areas being fun to defeat and explore. there are ways to progress, such as making short-cuts to later zones (with disadvantages) to lessen the difficulty, or ways to enhance the difficulty for a greater challenge.
with multiplayer, you can use a single joy-con for each person, but i recommend using two joy-cons for each, so it's more comfortable.
and also, you can get from the game booting to playing it in barely any time, just by hitting a button.… Expand

It's cute hilarious addictive and fun!
However it has 2 issues
Issue 1#: SUPER LONG Loading times it's annoying
Issue 2#: Only 4 characters and only 1 is female and I really don't think she's good
this is why I give it an 8 out of 10. I really would prefer to play as a female even if it's 8-bit and the characters are just not much.
and the loading times are really a big annoyance.
Otherwise i really love this game ;0
everything is cute bullets and has hilarious guns that shoot words and all that
it's also addictive! the Animations are adorable too!… Expand

Many say this game is very difficult, but it really isn't it just requires perseverance and and the grind isn't obvious at all as the game is just pure fun.
The game runs fantastically on switch except for very random frame drops which may freak you out, and a change of controls is definitely necessary if you actually want to beat the game. The fact that the game is offline makes it great for switch as you can take it anywhere for hours of fun and it has a two-player mode if your local friends want to join in. the music is great which helps to deal with deaths at later floors. Many say the game is repetitive but the levels are constantly changing so you will probably never get the same layout twice, and the more you play the games the more guns you get making it easier to progress to later floors.
My only problem with the game is the huge amount of RNG required to progress well although this makes it fun most of the time, some rounds you will be stuck with the starter gun until the second floor and other rounds you will have some of the most over powered guns in the game. Also if you are worried about aiming being hard on switch don't worry the aim assist is very helpful, and as long as you are pointing in that direction the bullet will most likely hit the enemy. Overall Enter The Gungeon is really worth the buy if you up for it and will supply you with countless hours of fun for only £15 or less if you get it on sale like I did.… Expand

For starters the controls are a pain and it takes a good while to get used to them, only to find online a guide that tells you to remap them for a better experience. Now Im stuck between just getting used to the crappy controls and struggling to adapt to the better type.
There doesnt seem to be the right level or progression compared to other Rouge games, Binding of Issac you can get through the game once you know the dynamics of the enemies and then the upgrades help you go further, Rouge legacy lets you upgrade yourself to get further and further but Gungeon you seem very stuck in the level you are at unless you get a gun that Over powers you or you get a ton of money to buy something that can help you.
It just doesnt feel right to me from start to finish and Ive already stopped playing it.… Expand

Due to the lack of content, such as character variety, weapon availability, and the repetitive grind. This game was made to fight against you, too much so that it ruins the games experience. This game is harsh in the sense that it punishes mistakes rather then rewarding success, and that hinders on the fun factor that this game lacks.
With the new update the game did get a little better, answering a really needed prayer of checkpoints between floors, yet still not enough has been changed to have me change the rating I've given the game, as it is still lackluster, and repetitive the moment I pick up the controller.… Expand
