"If spooky, cartoony, fun and charming action, full of puzzles and mystery is your cup of tea - drink no further! If you loved the first and second one, jump right in. If you didn't play those, go and play them, then jump right in. This is a perfectly balanced treat for any fan of the cutesy horror, that perhaps only Nintendo can deliver. An absolute joy of a game, you should not dare miss."

"Luigi’s Mansion 3 is one of the best games I’ve played in years. I spent every moment of its campaign gaping in awe at set piece after set piece. Raging dinosaur skeletons, suites overrun with plants, a kaiju battle, and a towering pyramid in the sand are but a handful of the sights to take in while playing Luigi’s Mansion 3. I never thought that the original Luigi’s Mansion could be trumped, but Next Level Games has officially outdone Nintendo with this gorgeous, wonderful video game. Bravo."

"At its core, Luigi’s Mansion 3 is lovely. The campaign is clearly crafted with care and is filled with personality. Each ally and enemy is detailed and expressive. Its challenges are never too demanding and the floors of the Last Resort are fun to explore alone or with a friend. ScareScraper can also be enjoyable, if you can get enough people to join you in tackling a tower. Really, ScreamPark is the only blemish in an otherwise delightful game."

Levels are much more varied and visual astounding, a little delight that you can fully play alone or in coop mode, multiplayer modes aside. "Luigi’s Mansion 3 is a glorious moment of happiness with the childhood and Halloween's flavors. "Luigi's Mansion 3 is easily the most delightful game I've played in 2019. Its tiny details add up to form an engrossing and endearing whole: the way ghosts wear sunglasses to block the light from your strobe attack; how enemies try to shoot Gooigi with children's water pistols; the way Luigi moves along ledges with a scared little hops; and how when you're hoovering up mice, they cling to the floor for a moment before being sucked into the nozzle. All of these touches make for an extremely enjoyable game that I've played for hours at a time without feeling that a second was wasted."

"Luigi’s Mansion 3 is a fantastic evolution for the series. Its significantly longer campaign, slew of multiplayer options, and more varied gameplay distinguish it from the more arcadey, speedrun-friendly original to a point that direct comparison is challenging, but Luigi’s Mansion 3 is an obvious step up from Dark Moon, which was already a great game in its own right. The hotel adventure is amazing and the ScareScraper is addictive enough to add hours of gameplay. "For my first experience with the Luigi's Mansion series, I had such a good time. Boiled down it's a fairly simple riff on GhostBusters, but Luigi's Mansion has been produced with such a sense of humour and eye for detail that it has a personality and uniquely Nintendo quality all of its own. Halloween always brings the deluge of seasonably-themed games, and so many of them aim for a true kind of horror. Nintendo tops the pack this year with something that revels in the silliness of the season, and it does so with panache. "

"The exotic holidays of Luigi's Mansion 3 look like a phantasmagorical comedy, each floor from this hotel presenting a play of its own which revisits the classic horror movies themes, thanks to Next Level Games' fantastic imagination through mischievous stagecraft, wonderful riddles and stunning ectoplasmic battles. Beyond the already reinforced ghost hunter gear, such elements are combined marvelously, if not even better in duo, since the slimy characteristics of Gooigi both fluidify and enrich the whole experience. "Luigi's Mansion 3 is yet another excellent Nintendo exclusive and is the perfect antidote to the doom and gloom that runs rampant in the horror genre these days. It may not do everything perfectly, but from a technical side, I'm hard-pressed to think of a better-looking game on the Switch this year. "Luigi's Mansion 3 is a fun time, but not without its fair share of faults. While the gameplay and presentation deserve my highest praises, there are elements I'm less high on. The good and underutilized floors keep going back and forth without there being a real consistent pattern. It doesn't exactly help that the game gives away its conclusion too soon, way before you even come close to it. The ScareScraper is a lovely time as well, though with content being strapped back for a singular, clean game mode. Players who want to continuously enjoy the game might be better off trying to 100% the Story Mode. The collectibles are nicer to deal with now, which makes exceeding those initial ten hours not even a problem. Oh, and that Slam attack is pretty incredible as well."

"Make no mistake; Luigi’s Mansion 3 is a good game. With a great variety in themes, inventive bosses, and some really cool small ideas that break up the main gameplay elements. Those controls are much, much better than they were on 3DS, but still remain a bit tricky when playing portably.
