    These four games are more than worth $20 alone. [Issue #35 – September/October 2018, p. 64]

The four games contained in Mega Man X Legacy Collection are arguably some of the strongest in existence. Whilst there's little to differentiate the first three titles, you owe it to yourself to experience them at least once.

Mega Man X Legacy Collection offers four of the finest platformers ever made. They can only be described as timeless classics, especially the first entry which is one of the best platformers period. Newcomers will find this collection a great place to start thanks to the new Rookie Hunter mode, while veterans will appreciate the new challenges and bonus material on offer. If you're someone who gets even the slightest amount of enjoyment from platformers, buy this collection.
  5. Packing four incredible action games from the mid-'90s into one nostalgic package, Mega Man X Legacy Collection might not feature the entire X saga but it's certainly the best of it.

Mega Man X Legacy Collection contains three of the best Mega Man X games ever made. It’s always a pleasure to play them. But we might have enjoyed a bit more content.

The first four Mega Man X games are fun nostalgia, though it sometimes feels like a case of deja vu.

This is a good collection for all Megaman X and new Megaman X fans (because of rookie hunter mode).
Collection 1 has Megaman X1, Megaman X2, Meganman X3 and Megaman X4 and has the "better" games of the 2 collections.
I fully enjoyed playing all the game from 1 to 4 and has to be one of my favorite collection to date.
I'm not gonna explain what megaman x entails because there are enough reviews of that already.
I'm just gonna say i fully recommend this Megaman X Legacy Collection.

Greatly drawn stages and enemies, controls of charging / dashing / jumping greatness, a great rock soundtrack, the most epic 2d boss fights. All elements built up to Jump 'n' Shoot perfection!
But be warned: some bosses have punishingly strong attacks, you need immense focus to take them down. Luckily a rookie mode (easy mode) is added, which you can turn on and off anytime.
A lot of galleries with art pieces of the blue bomber's universe complete this explosive package.

Worth the money, if you are looking to get into the Mega man x series this is the way to do it!
The game comes with a bunch of additional features such as the gallery and music (OST) which are really enjoyable for hardcore fans. Also a rookie hunter mode which really helps out people new to the series or assists you when getting through very difficult situations or bosses.
X1 - fantastic game to start off the series, did have some difficulty with the platforming on the Xbox controller. 8/10
X2 - better than the first game with more fun bosses and stages, music was however better in the first one 9/10
X3 - the most difficult out of the three but still a lot of fun, rookie mode was really helpful. I would say that the platforming was very difficult if not broken towards the last stages 7/10
X4 - easily my favorite out of the bunch, giving the option to play the story through either Zero or X easily a 9.5/10
Overall worth the purchase, much better than buying each game individually! 9/10

There's a load of content in this collection and it is certainly worth the price. You get 32 mavericks, a museum full of goodies and Mega Man history, and a new mode where you take on 2 mavericks at the same time. This collection has a plethora of settings that can change your experience. There's a rookie mode which overall makes the experience easier. The Mega Man X games presented are all amazing and some of the best in the series. Mega Man X 4 is an absolute classic. The soundtracks of these games are awesome. You get pounding rock soundtracks while fighting robotic whales, penguins, and mandrills. In conclusion, this is an amazing legacy collection that has great bang for your buck. Definitely check it out if you're a fun of the Mega Man series or if you are trying to get into it. Have a great day/night, folks! Expand

On the release of the SNES, Capcom went in a different route: creating a brand new 'Mega Man', with its own modern mechanics. When I pop in that cartridge back in those days, I was mesmerized by its pounding rock soundtrack and great graphics. To this day, the original Mega Man X is still the best Mega Man since no 2. As per usual, its sequels end up presenting somewhat a diminishing set of returns. Yet the first half of this collection, covering X1-X4, is clearly the strongest. The other half, proves to be interesting attempt to go to the 2.5 D route that never really gels with players. However, this is clearly vintage Capcom: back in their glory days. An essential collection for retro gamers such as myself. Expand
