Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's Latest DLC character Min Min is one part Dhalsim, one part Pokemon Trainer, and one of the more exciting (if tricky to wield) concepts for a Smash character yet.
I put my hands together for the few pairs of Arms fans out there, and I’m sorry for all the hate this series is getting but I extend an olive branch to put the “whoas” to rest in hopes the next DLC character is someone better.
Min Min is the best in my opinion. She's definitely a juggernaut. Although it lacks alt. Costumes. The main four are already her main appeal. it'd be interesting if she have a different color appearance from a selected previous character in a series. Some players may find her annoying at first, but there are still players enjoying playing as her, even Min Min mains too. It's obvious that she has the longest range of all the fighters there is. It would be even better if they decided to put more fan favorite characters in a next
smash bros installment including Twintelle. There might be a chance for "ARMS" to recieve a sequel with Min Min on Smash. Who knows. I highly recommend it. 10/10
P.S : This is my honest review.
The idea of having an ARMS character become playable post-launch was quite bizarre, especially with Spring Man (arguably the most recognisable character) already an Assist Trophy. We ended up with Min Min; a character whose inclusion feels incredibly forced, both by her role in the base game as a spirit and by her being the first ARMS character to be playable in the series (it's like if Diddy Kong became playable before Donkey Kong). In a nutshell, I don't have a favourable opinion of Min Min as a fighter choice.
The stage she comes with; Spring Stadium, is visually appealing. It of course comes with music from ARMS; these tracks range from good ("ARMS Grand Prix Official Theme Song", "DNA Lab") to downright annoying ("Ribbon Ring"). Gameplay-wise, Min Min is a unique fighter with massive range.
So we have the worst DLC character choice thus far but with unique gameplay, a pretty good stage but with a mixed music selection, and a weird Spirit Board with spirits already in the base game (though there are some new ones). Altogether, this makes for a mediocre pack of DLC and thus the game's worst DLC thus far. Between Byleth and Min Min, and with five more packs on the way, I hope that they can re-ignite the hype factor that Super Smash Bros. is known for.
