Unimpressive tennis game that doesn't live up to its own expectations. While some core foundations seem nice, they are terribly overshadowed by poor controls and some terrible technical issues. It's officially launched but it definitely looks like it's still in beta.
Sadly, if BigBen Interactive has sold us Tennis World Tour as "The new game from the creators of Top Spin", it couldn't be further from the truth. Clearly rushed to be released during the french open, the game suffers from broken gameplay, vastly outdated graphics and minimalist content.
I understand that release windows are a big thing that helps boost sales maximizes exposure. I’m sure that’s the reasoning behind Tennis World Tour’s release in this state because I can’t think of any other reason a developer would willingly release such a debacle.
Best PS4 Tennis Game for sure:
While the game is not as good as Top Spin 4, the game is much better than AO International Tennis, and in general the game is fine. The gameplay is good, although it sometimes feel too slow. The Player Roster is good if you look on the ATP Site, apart from Nadal, Djokovic, Cilic, Del Potro, Murray not featuring, 24 other ATP player, including, Monfils, Federer, Dimitrov, Zverev, Thiem is on the list.
The career is user freindly, and helps you getting a good start with the game. While the game really needs a patch atm, to sort out things like the crowd being almost silent, and the missing feature to change career mode match difficulty, the game is the best tennis game you can get so far for PS4.
Finally a tennis game for PS4. Does this feel like a complete game, no. Does it need a number of patches, yes. Are the ground strokes there, yes. I want more of everything, but there is a basis to build on. It is a solid first try and could be a great game given time and resources. Lots of them.
If you miss tennis game so much, you could buy this one but DON'T expect too much.
+ It has so many male players
+- female players is not as much as male
- at some points I can't really move the player pretty well, it seems like the player stuck at the corner after hit the ball
- the graphics are bad and need so many improvement. This is not better than game in PS2.
- The commentator keeps repeating the same words.
- I can't hear the crowd.
Compared to the game in the same league: AO International is much better. I need to say this.
