It's one of those love-it or hate-it kind of experience: if you're into practicing hard to get hi-scores, Touchgrind Skate 2 is definitely your thing, but otherwise you might want to look elsewhere.
Touchgrind Skate 2 is going to be a seriously awesome, in-depth skater for some players, and a troublesome, niggly experience for others. What's for certain is that the App Store very much needs these kinds of unique and innovative offerings in spades, and we're excited to see what comes out of Illusion Labs next.
There’s no in-app purchasing your way out of Touchgrind Skate 2's challenging learning curve, but players willing to put in some practice time will find a satisfying skating game.
If you can get past the occasionally finicky controls and lack of things to do, and if you’re really into just wheeling around and mastering this two-fingered skate system, you may find that Touchgrind Skate 2 shreds gnarlier than most; other gamers, however, will probably find more fun digging back through the huge library of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater titles.
