    KartRider: Drift has made an indelible impression during the review process. It is rare that a free-to-play game offers so much for free and continues to offer a fun experience. As harder difficulties unlock via the licence system, the challenge opens up, alongside new tracks and content. The tracks are varied in style and items give the game that frantic fun while Speed mode allows experts to showcase their skills. A lack of local multiplayer modes is certainly a shame, especially as it would allow families and younger gamers the chance to play against one another, although there is a mode to create private lobby custom races. Given that there should be more content coming further down the line there is plenty of good reasons to get stuck into KartRider: Drift.

    We have yet another free to play, serviceable kart racing game that doesn't really do anything better or worse than what's been offered forWe have yet another free to play, serviceable kart racing game that doesn't really do anything better or worse than what's been offered for years in the genre, nor does it do anything to innovate or even have its own identity. I'll give it this though: the amount of options on how to play is great. You can play by yourself, with duo or squad teams and can choose whether to play ranked vs. AI or against other players. The variety of play is what this game excels at, and it doesn't appear to suffer from the technical shortcomings as last year's Starlit Kart Racing like crashes. However, I do not like the drift mechanic in this game as much. I feel it's too sensitive as I start doing donuts around a corner, and makes the speed boost mode unbearable. But I'll be glad to stick with the iconic item mode with friends or strangers for hours of my free time.… Expand
