I would recommend ‘Breakpoint’ to gamers but not just yet. ‘Breakpoint’ has a lot of potential but still just needs a bit more tweaking before it’s perfect. That said, it is still very enjoyable for anyone who loves a story driven game with a deep back-story as its foundation.

When Ghost Recon Breakpoint is working as intended, it’s a great game. I hope the visual and audio glitches are fixed over time as this is one of many constantly evolving games on the market right now. Things like the Sniper Rifles will need to be better balanced for multiplayer and upcoming DLC will likely add to the great story as gamers grind out their Year One Pass. After many hours with Breakpoint, I can safely say I’m looking forward to what’s coming next.

Unbalanced missions, poor optimization on Xbox One FAT drag down the overall good game that Ghost Recon: Breakpoint is.

Not as good as Ghost Recon Wildlands, Ubisoft Paris' follow-up has a few new ideas up its sleeve, but is ultimately lacking. Sadly, Ghost Recon Breakpoint feels like it's been hastily gaffer taped together, then kicked out of the door, bugs and all.

Breakpoint offers initial fun following Ubisoft's open-world structure as gospel, but a lack of variety and conflicting pieces leave it devoid of personality.

In the end, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Breakpoint never finds its groove. There are so many different things to do that you would think that there’s something in this game for everybody, but that’s not really the case. Instead, most things just feel pointless or function as a distraction from its core gameplay, which is already a composite of disparate elements. In a way, Ghost Recon: Breakpoint is like listening to rock, jazz, and reggae, only you’re doing all these things at the same time, none of the albums are that good to begin with, and the end result is a confusing cacophony of noise that is far less than the sum of its parts. You’d be better off participating in a more focused experience.

Looting for better gear is a trend that’s taken over gaming, but it’s never seemed as unnecessary and as cynical as it does in Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint. Turning the game into an amalgamation of Wildlands and The Division, Breakpoint’s gear system ruins any immersion you may have felt in pretending to be an elite spec ops soldier. If that was the game’s only issue, it might have still been salvageable, but its predictable story, graphical infidelity, and obnoxious open world make this a failed experiment at marrying two or three different properties from the same publisher.

Love it. Jon Bernthal (punisher, walking dead) is in it. Camera angles take some getting used to.

It’s always been bare bones story wise but the action was great. Now the game has been cut up into a million pieces and sold back to you through and in game store. There is F2P games with less monetization in it. Disgusting. I was going to pre order Watch Dogs but I’ll be avoiding all Ubisoft releases until they show some respect to their consumers. Expand

The game launched as, and still is, a buggy, broken mess. The servers keep disconnecting or going down, so you can lose a chunk of your progress mid-way through a mission. Match-making is a complete joke. Character animations and NPC AI are laughably bad.

The key takeaway for me is the fact that this full-priced, triple-A, live service game, is selling "time-savers". Meaning this game is placing a monetary value on playing this game less and it's admitting that it's a grindy, repetitive, time-sink of a game. Ubisoft have effectively pushed players into a pit and are selling them a ladder. This game has such egregious and predatory micro-transactions, it makes bog standard mobile games seem inviting.

The biggest scam in the gaming industry. Predatory Micro-Transactions on top of 100 euros special editions! As if that wasn't bad enough, they have also butchered the gameplay, it is inferior on so many levles to past installments! If that wasn't bad enough, there is also a large amount of bugs and glitches. On top of all this, the game isn't optimized and runs very bad :( There is not a single positive thing I can think of, this is truly the "BREAKPOINT" for this franchise, it is dead, truly disgusting what they have done. This game discusses me! Most microtransactions ever for a full priced (AAA) game! Do not purchase this game - save yourself the 'return game' process.
