A Still Small Voice captures good people doing their best to navigate constant crisis. The struggle will linger with you for some time.
It’s human and messy — and it’s divine.
A Still Small Voice is about listening for inner truth and bearing witness.
A Still Small Voice — much like the residency program that it chronicles — is all the more valuable because it never pretends that being a palliative chaplain is an inherently selfless task.
The film does a fine job of holding a mirror to the experience of therapeutic practice.
A Still Small Voice is both universally relevant and as niche as a film can be; only those willing to descend into the depths of grief will seek it out, though it holds wisdom enough to apply to us all.
Although sincere and well-crafted, the repetitive lethargy of A Still Small Voice would perform much better in a short art film, not a full-length feature.
