Tom Cruise does with bartending pretty much what he did with a pool cue in "The Color of Money." In other words, he shows skill at a con game while being less successful with the woman in his life. [29 Jul 1988, p.A]

Seen this movie so many times, and always brings a tear to my eye. Certainly was of Toms better movies and with Bryan Brown rocking it definitely worth the watch

Enjoyable movie, crazy that it is on all time worst movie list. Fun movie to watch.

One of the worst films ever made and another role by Mr Cruise that proves that he is one of his generations poorest actors. Dreadful.
