Where to Watch
Working a low body count and a slow burn, Desolation is a decent short film that’s been unwisely expanded to feature length.
Its running time is a mere 78 minutes, but the pic feels like it takes much longer getting to nowhere particularly interesting.
Movies like these — so well-intentioned, so unexciting — give the very notion of “a brainy thriller” a bad rep.
