Much of Doors comes across as experimental. But its weirdness, its stone-faced humour, and its none-too-complicated effects can be hypnotizing. Doors is compelling and indiscernibly droll; A 2020 Space Odyssey as mesmerizing as it is strange.

Consisting of three segments, this hit-and-miss cinematic jumble imagines our world being taken over by the titular otherworldly gateways. Their origins and purpose remain ambiguous throughout, which some may find tantalizing, while others will deem infuriating.

The idea and conception wasn't bad, but it's presented in an exceedingly disorganized way. There are 4 stories presented in an anthology form. They're all based on the same strange event, however only 2 seemed redeemable to me. The last one tries to be distressing but ends up being painfully humorous, and that was completely involuntary. Is the recurring problem with anthologies. Some stories are better than others. It could be exploited as a tv series. It has the potential. But as a film it is utterly mediocre.

I wont spoil it. But it wouldnt matter. The only thing that they nailed was the movie poster. It should have been made with paint just to reflect how cheap this movie was. Starts just fine for a scy-fy horror flick. Gets on your nerves pretty fast and thats a good thing in this genre. Traps you fairly strong just to squash all of that later with a plot so lost you end up wondering if its improvisation- acting. A scene about an alien door pretty early on the film its the first culprit. It feels stuck. The characters chat on and on and fight and you couldnt care less about it. The set never changes and you start wondering if thats it. If thats the rest of the scenery that this movie offers. Luckily, that escruciating excuse for a scene ends, the set changes, and you soon realize that lack of sets isnt even remotely an important problem compared to what awaits. Its not boring, its sedative. Its "dont pause it while im gone to the bathroom"-bad. The movie consist of a series of stories surrounding this alien doors. Why would i watch a third story if the first two were lacked so much? I would call this "experimental" only if it wasn't so obvious that what wasn't normal wasn't intended. If a toast its burnt its not rustic; its burnt.

It comes across more like a showreel than a stand-alone film, like, a confusingly edited sizzle teaser for a much more in-depth Doors drama series.

Started a little boring and I admit that I didn't keep watching. If the first 20 minutes is "meh" then why watch the rest?
