It has the wiggy energy of a workplace that might sometimes drive you crazy, but is never boring. This is a great workplace comedy about the ways in which people who seem to be holding you back can also, sometimes, be the ones pushing you forward. Crawling under your desk gets you nowhere. It’s ironic that a film about bucking formula is itself so formulaic. There’s nothing wrong with such inoffensive pleasantness, but if Late Night wants to advocate setting fire to the system in pursuit of more meaningful art, it should have led the charge. Read full review

I loved the talented cast. The reverse me too movement was great. It reminded me of real life. It was one of the best films I have seen in a long time.

Late Night is one of those films you need on a rainy Sunday. It has a lot of heart, a voice, is funny but is also incredibly touching. I like films that don't pander to an audience and this one certainly doesn't.

Although this was a vehicle for Emma Thompson and had an obvious feminist message, Talk Show was only very mildly preachy and the acting (male and female) was first-rate, which made up for the sermonizing. A film that never really gets any laugh-out-loud moments but does earn consistent smirks. Its issue is not the incredible Emma Thompson, it is the fact that (just like "Long Shot" a month ago), the film wears its agenda on its sleeve. Very disappointing! I expected so much from this movie, mainly because of Emma Thompson. It's probably the weakest role I've seen this superb comedic and dramatic actress play. I thought the plot line and writing waspure drivel.

If you like tired, predictable cliches, this movie is for you.
If you want to waste almost 2 hours of your life, this movie is for you.
If you like reducing every character to merely what gender and race they are, then this movie is for you.
