The stupidity of it all is certainly diverting but it’s all too scattershot and at times stiflingly portentous to cross over into pure camp.

Perry knows what he’s doing. He can’t possibly think any of this is believable for one second. But it could be fun to discuss its outlandishness over a few glasses of wine.

I finally got around to watching Tyler Perry's Mea Culpa, and I thought it was pretty good. It's sexy and intriguing, like the Trois movies. It's fine eroctism and mystery, with a "fine" female lead in Kelly Rowland.

I LOVED THIS MOVIE! I loved Trevante's erotic, seemingly dangerous, but capable of loving character! I loved Kelly's sophisticated, professional, sexy, and loving character as well. The protective relationship between Mea and her investigator was wonderful. There was so much sinister mystery in this movie. I've watched this movie twice and will watch it again!

Rowland commits to the thankless task of playing a smart woman gone stupid. Rhodes can’t do much with Zyair, whose affect is more flat than seductive.

Sure, it’s a thriller, and by the pull-out-all-the-stops finale, it acts like it. But soapy, turgid trash is one of the guy’s brands — when he isn’t playing Madea. And this eye-roller is on-brand, first scene to last.

I found "Mea Culpa" to be sexy and intriguing. Rating this movie zero or one star does it an injustice. The movie held my interest from beginning to end, and I didn't want to take my eyes off of Kelly and Trevante!!!

This is exactly how to not make a movie. The story is poorly constructed, making one wonder what the writers were even thinking when they created this film. The twists are ridiculous, and everything is exaggerated purely for the sake of being so. The movie's attempt to portray cheating among partners as justifiable is absurd. Why would a lawyer become involved with her client? The reasoning provided is poorly thought out. The movie features the worst climax, turning every character in the film into a villain, except for one at the end. HUH? "Mea Culpa," where "culpa" means negligence, is apt; none of the writers seemed to care about crafting a logical and cohesive narrative. Instead, they contributed to one of the strangest movies I have ever seen. For the sake of your mental health, do not watch this movie.

Padrão Netflix, com uma personagem até bem construída, mas com um desenvolvimento tolo. Basicamente por conta dos adultérios, ela é metida numa emboscada (não falarei mais para não dar spoiler), tendo que ser a advogada de um pintor acusado de matar uma namorada, sendo que o promotor do caso é o cunhado da protagonista. E aqui vão todos os clichês: personagens maniqueístas, motivações pífias, idiotices sendo tomadas (ao encontrar uma pista, ela vai ao encontro do promotor do caso!)...
