The visual effects are impressive, and there is a certain kick to seeing the human characters dodging barrels in a life-size Donkey Kong. But we don’t really care about the humans; here, at least, Q*bert is more endearing than Adam Sandler. Read full review

In all honesty this movie is probably more like an 8 but I felt it should get a bump for all the hate that it is receiving. I took my 3 children, 13, 5, and 3 and they were all extremely entertained. I too thought the movie was pretty damned funny. It was an original and entertaining story with plenty of laughs and action. Adam Sadler, Kevin James, and Josh Gad were all funny, and I usually do not find Kevin James tolerable, and Peter Dinklage is absolutely hilarious. In closing I thought it was an all around enjoyable movie and, to be honest, the best of the summer blockbusters so far.… Expand

Why does everyone hate this movie? I love this movie! It's hilarious! Great humor! Awesome arcade game stuff, I have no idea why everyone keeps saying the acting is bad. I know the plot doesn't make much sense, but a nonsense plot can be a part of an amazing movie when used right, and thisWhy does everyone hate this movie? I love this movie! It's hilarious! Ya se que muchísimos odian esta película y que a casi nadie le gustó (tanto críticos como conocidos míos). Para mí, las películas de Adam Sandler son super divertidas y hace las que son mis comedias preferidas. El tipo de humor que manejan los guiones y el absurdo de todo me hacen reir aYa se que muchísimos odian esta película y que a casi nadie le gustó (tanto críticos como conocidos míos). Para mí, las películas de Adam Sandler son super divertidas y hace las que son mis comedias preferidas. El tipo de humor que manejan los guiones y el absurdo de todo me hacen reir a carcajadas, si a esto le sumamos el tono de una película de acción/efectos visuales como pudiera ser "Transformers" hacen que para mi gusto personal sea lo mejor. El nivel de entretenimiento que pasé durante 2 horas en la butaca del cine, pocas veces se ha repetido. Este domingo la volví a revisionar y no ha perdido ni un ápice de gracia. Haber, hay que dejar claro que la película como película es mala, no voy a engañar a nadie, es una invasión alienígena pero con personajes de videojuegos, el planteamiento ya en sí es absurdo. Dicho esto, los momentos de Kevin James son delirantes, las gracias de Adam Sandler geniales y el puntito que aporta Peter Dinklage a la película, hace que para mí sea un tridente sensacional y increiblemente DIVERTIDO que es lo que es toda la película. Genial, me lo paso en grande con PIXELS.… Expand

i think Sandler should give up his career pixels was awful, the story was very rubbish and it has many other problems Adam Sandler acted very bad in this slumber movie

Just keep your finger on the fast-forward button until a videogame sequence, watch it, then fast- forward again until next videogame sequence and wach it.
You will enjoy the movie in 10 minutes. The rest isn't worth watching

Script: lazy and unfunny
Pacing: yawn
Acting: cheezy
Love interests: unnecessary and unconvincing/disturbing
Cinematography: uncreative

Don't really no what else to say; it has been a long time since I have almost quit watching a movie. I knew it was going to be awful (that's why I watched it, RIP), but for it to be even worse is insane. I can't get over how disturbing the ending was. There were so many moments where it was clear it was supposed to be funny, but ended up making me literally physically cringe. If you appreciate films in the slightest, don't give up the almost two hours of your life. I feel like I need to clean myself.… Expand
