With an underlying theme of love and acceptance, Single All The Way blossoms into a funny, delightful, and heartwarming romcom gift for all.
The movie eventually settles into a more relaxed, warmer tone, as veteran TV writer Chad Hodge’s self-aware script acknowledges all the tropes — gay and holiday — while continuing to employ them effectively.

Well done Netflix! A must see! An instant classic! The actors' performances were authentic and heartfelt. It felt like the cast was genuinely enjoying themselves and working collaboratively! Though Christmas movies can be cringe worthy, this one is not and you need to go see it. Now! GO!

Though the title may be the cleverest thing about this cookie cutter affair, it’s refreshing to see a gay family film that doesn’t use its characters’ sexuality for dramatic conflict.
Single All the Way cannot sustain itself on Urie’s considerable charms alone, but he’s been so underused since the days of “Ugly Betty” that it’s thrilling to see him in a starring role. If only it was a better one.
The supporting cast compensates with piquancy in the side dishes, but the main course is a flavorless misfire.
It’s pure mass market Christmas cookie cutter stuff that’s only made vaguely interesting in very short bursts because of its queerness.
****, funny, and self-consciously goofy, this movie exploits the Christmas movie stereotypes without really getting rid of them, for those who look for some familiarity. Definitely entertaining and, somehow and somewhen, almost profound.

I mean, of course it looks and feels like a Hallmark Christmas movie, but you don’t go into films like this with the intent of the next When Harry Met Sally. It does its corny holiday charm thing!
