Without exaggeration, this movie is STUNNING! It is action packed, fast moving, and leaves you craving for SO MUCH MORE! It is thoroughly loyal to the original genre (despite the liberal changes it takes), as well as being a flick that a non-"trekkie" can pick up on. Amazing movie, I have never seen a Star Trek film and only limited episodes. But after hearing all the great things about this movie and the amazing cast.... (Simon Peg as Scotty, John Cho as Sulu.) I had to see it. Was not disapointed at all I am going to watch the other movies now and see Amazing movie, I have never seen a Star Trek film and only limited episodes. A very enjoyable action extravaganza. I loved it pretty much from start to finish and laughed out loud in parts. Chris Pine did a great job as Captain Kirk and Simon Pegg as Scotty!!!

This film was dangling a fine line, with a well known franchise and devout following you have to appease them. But also this film had to appeal to the masses so that Star Trek could actually have a shelf life past this reboot. Now... for Star Trek, it's only a matter of time before this movie finally gets a good score from me. As expected, we all thought Star Trek could've been better. It's the only 'better' we could get.

This movie was a pretty good space opera considering there were zero instances of realism. But it was more interesting than the last 3 Star Wars films by far. It wasn't as good as any season of The Wire, but nobody expects it to be that good. Buy some popcorn and enjoy the drama. Very poor film due to incoherent script. At the end, Captain Kirk orders his crew to open fire on a crippled ship full of civilians, making him a war criminal. This is after he tries to use "compassion" as a cynical ruse against his opponent. The script is flimsy and illogical; Nero's Very poor film due to incoherent script.
