Critics just hate anime lmao. It was a really good movie. I took a few friends with me that had never heard of the franchise and they loved it. Granted, they play video games and like anime. I had never heard of this series before the film came out, but I enjoyed the film immensely. The story is well written, with interesting twists and heroic characters I can respect and root for. There is plenty of action. The humor is handled far better than in a typical Marvel film and is actually amusing. My only complaint is that the stakes could be higher, but this is a good, fun film that I recommend to any fan of anime. If you want some background on the origin of the slime, you can find the first television episode on YouTube or at the CrunchyRoll web site. I hope this film does well at the box office; I'd love to see a sequel.… Expand
