Even if this movie doesn’t achieve a great epiphany at the end of the darkest route, it offers a great showcase for Gallner in particular.
For all the ways the film holds us at a bit at a distance, the performances do wonders in closing this gap.

Hits well for a movie about different ways of dealing with trauma. More of a thriller than horror, despite the opening few scenes. One of those little films that keeps you guessing on how it will end.

This is a tight, snappy, simple little thriller that never overstays its welcome and doesn't skimp on the horror, with two strong performances guiding us through all the bloodshed.
A slow-burn thriller/slow-footed thriller.
It sounded good and it doesn't turn into a disaster, but taking into perspective everything that is projected in its plot - which struggles enough to sustain the whole film - the truth is that The Passenger doesn't add up to anything. It goes nowhere and leaves no mark.
Apart from Kyle Gallner's commendable performance, there's little that sets it apart. I reiterate that it's not an outright disaster, and I won't dissuade you from giving it a watch, but it's wise to approach it with tempered expectations.
